We did it!
As a community, we came together to support the Indigenous Summit that took place in Panama and raised over $64,000 in less than a week that helped make the Indigenous Summit possible. Over 800 people in 42 countries contributed, sending a clear message to our Indigenous brothers and sisters: we are standing with you, as a global family.
On behalf of Chief Phil Lane, Jr., our Indigenous brothers and sisters, and our team, we want to thank all of you who supported this campaign. Our beloved Alison Marks who joined Chief Phil Lane, Jr. in Panama, offered inspiring updates and shared photographs on the campaign website (more to come in the future): Indigenous Summit Updates.
We are committed to supporting our Indigenous brothers and sisters over the long haul as the prophecy of the Condor and Eagle is fulfilled.
Meanwhile, this edition of The Catalyst is dedicated to celebrating Inspiring Women! Part of indigenous prophecy it that this is a time of bringing balance and harmony in the world, including between women and men. For too long, patriarchal societies have undermined the power and gifts that women bring to the world.
This is part of why the work of the Inspiring Women Summit is essential. It’s a free offering with over 30 incredible women sharing their wisdom, insights and guidance on how to creating a truly fulfilling and high-impact life. Men also will benefit from the gifts our sisters will share. (To register free, click here.)
In this edition, we have profound articles from our faculty members Dr. Margaret Paul, Luisah Teish and my beloved wife, Devaa Haley Mitchell. We also have inspiring pieces from summit speakers Rha Goddess and Dr. Sue Morter.
Our member profile is from Laura George who tells about her inspiration to create the upcoming Building the New World Conference which is taking place in beautiful Radford, Virginia in May 2015. We are proud co-sponsors of this event designed on Barbara Marx Hubbard’s wheel of co-creation. (To learn more, click here.)
Our Shift Philanthropy highlights Shared Hope International, an organization that strives to end sex trafficking, restore victims of sex slavery, and bring justice to vulnerable women and children.
I also want to bring special attention to a several items in the Movement News: First, our good friends John and Ocean Robbins are hosting the 4th Annual Food Revolution Summit April 25–May 3. They have an amazing line up of speakers including Paul McCartney, Tony Robbins, and Vandana Shiva.
The Peace Alliance, a founding partner of the Summer of Peace, is launching Be the Movement! Take a Step for Peace — In Your Life, In Our Communities and Among Nations. This bold initiative is moving us all forward in practical ways to creating a culture of peace.
Michael Singer, a dear friend of the Shift Network and #1 New York Times bestseller, is coming out with his new book — The Surrender Experiment. It is an amazing story about learning to surrender to the magic of life. I predict it will be another New York Times bestseller.
If you feel called, please join Devaa and me on a special trip — Life List Ecuador, June 2–11, 2015. You can combine exotic travel, make a tangible difference in the world, share your own unique message and gifts, capture amazing footage to build your own business and also be part of a reality TV show. By Devaa Haley Mitchell
Can you feel it in the air? It’s the pulse of women around the world, waking up spiritually. Claiming our power. Opening our hearts even wider. And putting our deepest visions into action.
Women are rising to create a more just and beautiful world, the kind of world we know is possible. Inspiring women. Amazing women. Just like you (or perhaps someone you know!). Women who long to feel deeply connected and want to align their hearts, bodies and souls. Women who have had great successes and some failures too! Women who have loved and lost… and loved again. And through it all, we are all living our commitment to be the change . . . [read more]
The Power To Heal Yourself
By Margaret Paul, PhD
Many years ago, struggling to find inner peace and joy, I asked my spiritual Guidance, "Why are we here? What’s the purpose of life?" She answered:
"You are here to evolve in your ability to love and to fully manifest your gifts upon the planet. Each person is a spark of the Divine — an individual expression of the whole which is God, and as you evolve, the Love-which-is God evolves."
The shivers throughout my body told me I was hearing the truth. Since then, learning to love myself and others has been my inspiration . . . [read more]
My Mothers’ Voices: A Tribute to the Women Who Helped Me Become Woman
By Luisah Teish
This article is dedicated to a circle of women whose power, courage, knowledge and love, fed, shaped and sharpened my concept of Self. I pray it does them proud.

Your Year of Courageous Choosing
By Rha Goddess
This year is all about courage and currency — that is, the relationship between what you choose and what you value.
I was recently in a training session where the facilitator kept pressing us to choose our No. 1 value. “Only one?!” everyone asked. ”Yep. Just one.” She had us sit with a partner and write out our top five, and then used a rapid-fire sparring method to get us each to our top pick . . . [read more]
The Law of Attraction
By Dr. Sue Morter
The Law of Attraction is a beautiful principle that many of us already engage with and benefit from. We are blessed to have such influence infiltrating our culture. The realization that we play a role in our reality and our entire life experience, to the degree that what we merely focus our attention on can manifest in our lives, changes lives in amazingly powerful ways every day. “Focus up and attract great things into your life" . . . By Rev. Laura M. George, J.D.
I will never forget the day Thomas Jefferson called me on the telephone. I was enjoying an exalted state of synchronicity — a stage, according to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, when God sends regular “sweets” to help us remember our soul assignment . . . [read more]

Hanna Leigh
By Eleanor Tara
Hanna Leigh (pronounced "Hanalei") is from the island of Maui. Her music is prayerful, powerful, earthy, and heartfelt. She just released her first album, Nourish, a collection of 12 meditative mantras in multiple languages, including English, Sanskrit, Spanish, and Hawaiian. Hanna says, "Through weaving original and traditional sacred songs, my prayer is that this album nourishes the vibration of love within us, as we nourish the earth and those around us." The album was masterfully produced by the talented medicine musician, Murray Kyle, and includes many fantastic guests contributing a rich assortment of exotic sounds like bansuri, tabla, congos, sarangi, djembe, and coconut drum. My favorite songs are Sat Narayan and Vuela Vuela, but I've been keeping the entire album on repeat. I am deeply inspired by this woman's music! To listen, click here.
