This week we provide a short audio soundbite from Barbara's ACE class just after the election. It conveys in a visceral way Barbara's deep concern about polarization in the U.S. political system and the need for us to move into cocreation, which is one of the goals of the Birth 2012 movement.
The Movement Grows By Stephen Dinan, founder and CEO of The Shift Network
We are delighted to have some of the top technical partners in the world such as Streaming Tank, FANetwork.tv and Gaiam TV coming together to support our global webcast of Birth 2012, which is evolving into a 33-hour live webcast from noon Pacific on Friday, Dec. 21st to 9 pm Saturday, Dec. 22nd.
During this time, there will be coverage from major sites worldwide, from Mexico to Australia, ranging from hundreds of thousands at the Teotihuacan pyramids to 2012 experts from Denver to Aboriginal ritual from the Byron Bay beach in Australia to a message from Mayan elders at Chichen Itza. We'll be sharing the full schedule soon as the major events all ink into place. If you're developing something broadcast-worthy, do let Nadirah know
Between noon on Friday and noon Saturday, we'll unify 12 times through meditation, song, qigong, prayer, drumming and more, approximately every two hours, culminating with the "Birth moment" from Agape in Los Angeles. The mainstage Gala will feature Barbara, great music, and inspiring speakers such as Michael Beckwith, Jack Canfield, Lisa Nichols, Neale Donald Walsch and more.
On other fronts we have created a new, fun, participatory pledge that helps to build the field of global love and harmony for the Birth - The Three Days of Love Pledge. It's designed for easy spreading and lots of wonderful, warm, loving exchanges, helping us each be mindful of our actions for those days.
You can take The Three Days of Love Pledge alongside leaders such as Deepak Chopra by clicking here (and spreading the word to friends). Thanks for helping us build the field!

Final Week for Crowdfunded "Bold Mother Hubbard"
One ACE student who contributed to the professional documentary about Barbara wrote: "Barbara is one of the great women on the planet today. Barbara's vision of a universal humanity needs to get out there into the mainstream." The film's Indiegogo campaign has received five contributions over $1000 and is nearing its $20,000 goal. "With five more $1000 contributions and several smaller donations, we will reach our goal!" says filmmaker Karen Everett.
Stephen Dinan recommends:
Don't miss this video about formerly homeless teens who created an incredibly creative art project involving large, colorful murals inspired by the Shift Network's four seasons ("Winter of Wellness," "Spring of Sustainability," "Summer of Peace," etc.) "VERY inspiring!" says Stephen.
We recommend this just-released documentary that investigates the healing power of the heart and promotes a shift towards heart-centered living. Sacred Journey of the Heart combines modern science, including the findings of HeartMath, with ancient and indigenous wisdom traditions and features researchers, physicians, and tribal elders including Gregg Braden, Dr. Deborah Rozman of the Institute of HeartMath®, Uqualla, of the Havasupai tribe in northern Arizona, and Colin Tipping , founder of The Radical Forgiveness Institute.

Mayans Demand an End to Doomsday Myth
Last week representatives of Guatemala's Mayan people accused the government and especially tour groups of perpetuating—for monetary gain—the myth that their calendar foresees the imminent end of the world. "We are speaking out against deceit, lies and twisting of the truth, and turning us into folklore-for-profit. They are not telling the truth about time cycles," charged Felipe Gomez, leader of the Maya alliance Oxlaljuj Ajpop. Gomez urged the Tourism Institute to rethink its planned doomsday celebration, which he criticized as a "show" that was disrespectful to Mayan culture. Oxlajuj Ajpop is holding events it considers sacred in five cities to mark the event and Gomez said the Culture Ministry would be wise to throw its support behind their real celebrations. More than half of Guatemala's population of nearly 15 million are from indigenous groups of Mayan descent.
