William Siff is an expert practitioner of Asian and Ayurvedic medicine with over 20 years experience working with thousands of individuals and groups to successfully incorporate plant-based medicine into their lives. A true ‘Plant  Man’, William has an unrivaled depth of expertise across all aspects of plant-based medicine as a licensed acupuncturist, ethnobotanist, medicinal herb grower,  formulator and educator. He created the category-defining plant-based tonic company, Goldthread, to bring the world’s most potent plants to people across the country. Available everywhere from Whole Foods to Target, the tonics bring clinical strength herbal formulas to the ready-to-drink retail cooler with a taste and price point that appeals to everyone.

Having formulated over 100 different herbal products, both for his own retail apothecary and the wider market, the tonics originated as individualized prescriptions for his clinical patients. After years of great results, William created a  line of 11 targeted formulas to address the most vital functions and systems of the body. Since launching the tonics, William created the Plantventure Experience to guide groups through the amazing world of medicinal plants and their profound effects.

A large and loyal following developed around the ‘Plantventures’, and ultimately lead to a book currently in production with Artisan Publishers and set for release in 2021. His work on behalf of plants and people takes him all around the world, both sourcing plants for his tonics and plantventures, as well as supporting indigenous plant medicine projects. His background includes founding the Goldthread Apothecary and Herb Farm, creating the Farm to Pharmacy educational program, being a member of the faculty at the Kripalu Ayurvedic school and visiting faculty at Bastyr University, and much more. His mission is to connect people with the power of plants and ensure that the cultures who cultivate these amazing plants continue to thrive for generations to come.
