Real Food Healing Chef
Mee Tracy McCormick is a holistic farmer and rancher, a Whole Food Cooking expert and consultant, TV cooking personality, community kitchen builder and the author of “My Kitchen Cure”, which has held steady on Amazons top #10 Whole Foods Chart. Can you believe that she was once all thumbs in the kitchen and intimidated by the thought of cooking a meal from scratch? Mee’s love affair with real food was motivated by her life-long battle with autoimmune disease. At one point, when her health was really grim and the doctors were not optimistic, she looked at her two daughters and her husband and made a choice to do everything she could to improve her situation. She realized that what she put into her body was crucial, so food became her primary focus for wellness. Mee developed a deep understanding of health conscious diets —Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, Macrobiotics and Food Allergy Recipe Adaptation. She attended a professional culinary program in Los Angeles where she learned the basics of French and American cuisine. Her idea was to take classic recipes, adjust them for optimum health, and make them taste as good, if not better, than the traditional ones. Mee believes there are many food paths to wellness. Mee can be seen on “The Better Show” a national talk show as she now hosts a regular monthly segment “Bettering Classic Recipes”. She has appeared on more than 20 morning shows across the country and has written articles for a myriad of magazines. Mee lives with her family on their farm outside of Nashville where they raise their own food and share their enthusiasm for healthy eating through educational community kitchens nationwide.
