Walk With Your Ancestors in 2022

By Grandmother Flordemayo

Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Four Directions:

We are all on our sacred journey, our sacred path. We all want to know our destiny. We want to understand the relationship between us as humans… and the cosmos… and Mother Earth.

For the Maya, the ancestors are the building blocks of our lives and ancestral worship is customary and celebratory. We honor our ancestors in prayer, ritual, and ceremony. I believe my ancestors are walking with me on my sacred path and my sacred journey.

We are taught that all one needs to do is remember our ancestors and call upon them for help whenever it is needed.

Remembering the ancestors that walked before us is a sacred form of worship. We are taught that the four directions are our grandparents, we are taught to honor the four sacred elements. We are taught to use the Mayan calendars as tools to guide our journey. We are taught to honor our ancestors every day.

To help the world become a place of shared peace, however, we first have to be in harmony with ourselves. Our spiritual journey includes the ancestral wisdom that exists within us. We must all help carry the wisdom from within, healing traditions from our ancestors, and spiritual gifts of generations forward into the present moment.

It is only together, walking with our ancestors, that we will cultivate a greater appreciation for being alive and what it means to surrender to the present moment through sacred Indigenous ceremonies, rituals, prayers, and divinely guided transmissions. This will help to deepen our connection — and your relationship to Mother Earth and your spiritual gifts.

There is a harmony to life that happens when everyone is playing their part to the best of their ability — allowing their lives to be divinely orchestrated in the process, while also being guided by their ancestral wisdom, rituals, ceremonies, and guidance.

During all this sadness, anger, confusion, and intensity that we are experiencing in the world at the moment, it is more and more evident that ancestral healing can play an important role in the shift we are looking for in the world today.

We all have our path of destiny, our sacred road… What is yours? What can you do to honor your ancestors every day? Take what you know from your ancestors and use it to empower you on your journey, our journey together.

Walk with your ancestors — may your journey allow spirit to flow through your heart and life. I know you will become more devoted to your sacred path while becoming the best version of yourself that you can be.

The Star Beings and Ancient Ones are calling us — and those who hear the calling will come and experience their truth in the way that was meant to be.

Move… in alignment with a movement that started eons ago. A movement of love, light, compassion, and peace. My intention with my prayers and teachings is to empower each of you with the knowledge you each hold within you.

You all are the ones that we have been waiting for!

As we move into 2022, always remember that we are each holding a PEACE of the puzzle that will catapult us in the direction of personal and collective healing, wisdom, and harmony.

As we move into the New Year may your sacred path be filled with peace, blessings, happiness, love, and Light.

The teacher you've been waiting for is right there, between you and the Source. The longing, desire, and love that your heart has been looking for, if you step right into it, you become one with it.

What is your wish for HUMANITY?

Grandmother Flordemayo — Prayer for 2022

Rest upon supreme love…
… surrender your problems to God.

In this prayer to the Creator, Grandmother Flordemayo shares how we have to prepare ourselves for the difficult challenges ahead.
Watch now…

Grandmother Flordemayo — Mayan Elder, Universal Healer, Visionary, Dreamer, and Founder of The Pathis a Curandera Espiritu, or a healer of divine spirit. As a seer, she has the ability to see other realms of color, light, and sound. In addition, Grandmother Flordemayo has the ability to see the effects of existing imbalances on the physical, emotional, and spiritual realms within a person's energy system. As a world traveler she has offered ceremonies and has spoken on a wide range of topics from healing with the use of herbs to her more recent project, The Seed Temple, located in Estancia, New Mexico.

Being born under the sign of the seed, Flordemayo sees her role as cosmic germinator through teaching, community, manifestation and development. In recent years, Flordemayo has been working with seeds. Specifically, she sees her role as a caretaker of seeds through prayer. In 2012, Flordemayo received a vision during dialogue with the Beloved Mother. In the vision, Flordemayo finds herself sitting in a rocking chair, rocking back and forth, and being guided to prepare seed bundles with prayer. The seed bundles are to be given to the parents of children being born today and those yet to be born in the future.

Please visit Grandmother Flordemayo’s website. You can also visit The Path website and explore how you can SUPPORT them.

We also hope you’ll consider learning about the Indigenous Elder Fund to support Oglala Lakota Unci/Grandmother Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance with the needed funds for reliable transportation. Unci Rita has two vehicles, both over 20 years old. The gravel road conditions where Unci Rita lives in the Slim Buttes community are poorly maintained and below standard. Although garage bills are a given, the road conditions plus having to travel 20 miles in any direction for food, health care, and other business takes its toll on the vehicles. Unci Rita is an independent Elder living in her own home. True to traditional cultural values when asked, Unci Rita helps provide transportation for those who call on her. The past year has been a challenge with both vehicles in the garage at the same time. Slim Buttes is a rural community, 20 miles from town and the challenges with older vehicles create a domino effect of setbacks without adequate transportation.

Thank you for moving us with love, light, prayers, compassion, organizations, and peace. We hope you can consider making a donation or sharing the Elder Fundraiser!

More about The Path

The Path is a non-profit organization housed on a 40-acre property in Estancia, New Mexico, where Grandmother Flordemayo’s Seed Temple and Sacred Temples for Humanity are built and cared for with your help.

The Seed Temple is the realization of Grandmother Flordemayo’s original vision of a place where the sacred heritage seeds would be protected for future generations. It has existed since 2012 and has served as a source of seed for the local area, such as the Estancia Seed Library, as well as for many individuals in New Mexico and elsewhere. The many gatherings on the site have involved educational classes, sharing of seeds, and celebration of the spirituality carried in the seeds. Kindly note, we do not sell or otherwise monetize the seeds themselves.

Now more than ever it is important that we protect and increase our heritage seeds for the future and for our communities. Much of the diversity of seeds is being lost as fewer people are planting the original seeds, as modern agriculture has turned to genetically modified and patented seeds to produce our crops. The seeds in our collection have come from numerous donations of samples of traditional varieties of corn, beans, squash, grains, vegetables, and herbs. The Seed Temple is designed as a controlled environment that protects the viability of the seeds stored. From the Seed Temple, many kinds of seeds from our collection have been sent to volunteers who have helped grow and increase them, to keep them strong and to provide a stock source to distribute to others. Working to preserve these seeds gives us a sense of purpose and unity and fosters the relationships in community which are our true wealth.

The mission of The Path is to conserve and distribute seeds for future generations. We meet our mission through seed conservation, education, and collaboration with other organizations.

There is so much more work to be done. As individuals, our unique gifts are critical. We can do much, right where we are, with what we have. We are like sparks that when brought together create a bright shining fire of compassion for all living beings.
