Philip: Hello, everyone. I'm Philip Hellmich, Director of Peace for The Shift Network, and I'm delighted to be the co-host of the Yoga of Healing & Awakening Summit, looking at the essential depth teachings and daily practices for your mind, body, and soul. The summit is from June 21 to 24. It's presented by The Shift Network in association with Parmarth Niketan and Yoga International. And I'm here with my co-host, Cyndi Lee. Cyndi?
Cyndi: Hi, Philip. Gosh, it was such an incredible honor and treat to get to be the co-host of this summit. Between us, we talked to I think over 50 amazing world-renowned yogis and swamis and sages and beloved teachers and musicians and scientists. All kinds of inspiring people who are really living yoga, they're sharing yoga, they're breathing yoga. And they shared with us their practices and their insights and their teachings. It was really great.
Philip: Yes, we have Kia Miller, Jai Dev Singh, Gloria Latham, Jai Uttal, Seane Corn, Richard Miller, and even Congressman Tim Ryan, we have Ana Forrest and Jose Calarco. Who are some of the people that also jumped out at you there, Cyndi?
Cyndi: Well, it was really great and inspiring to talk with Richard Miller, who shared an amazing practice with us. Mary Taylor and Richard Freeman, Dianne Bondy, you know, she's just on fire, so inspiring. Chelsea Jackson Roberts and Matthew Remski, wow, another guy with a new book that's just right on where we need to be in yoga. And of course, Judith Lasater and Beryl Bender Birch and Desiree Rumbaugh... amazing women that have been teaching forever and have so much to share.
Philip: This all starts on the International Day of Yoga, June 21. This is the fifth year that we will be celebrating International Day of Yoga. The four previous years, we were filming in Rishikesh, India, on the banks of the Ganges. We're going to take the best of those videos and share those with you all on June 21. There's over 60 sessions, and we have His Holiness Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati from Parmarth Niketan. We also have Tommy Rosen, scientist Bruce Lipton, and Laura Plumb, and many more. So, that is just a joyous celebration to start the International Day of Yoga. We want to make sure you come and join us for that. And then, Cyndi, what happens after those days?
Cyndi: Well, after those days, I think what happens is we get very inspired. And we start to elevate our own body, our own mind, and our own practices from the inspiration of these teachers who are telling us how to stay motivated, how to stay committed, and then how to take this out into the world, into schools and into hospitals and into communities. And really start to spread this message of yoga as a way of healing and awakening.
Philip: Yes, this is an opportunity to take your yoga, whether it's hatha and/or meditation or chanting to a whole other level. This is an opportunity for you to really deepen and to really facilitate your own healing process and your own awakening. The website is YogaOfHealingSummit.com. We want to encourage you to go to register.
When you register, you receive a couple free music packages put together specifically for yoga. One is Awakening Yoga, a 60-minute flow with DJ Taz Rashid. We also have a package from White Swan, including pieces from Deva Premal and other artists that you're just going to flow. And so, again, this website is YogaOfHealingSummit.com. Cyndi, any final words in our invitation for people to join us?
Cyndi: I don't like to give guarantees, but I can pretty much guarantee that you will be uplifted by these interviews and by the different approaches that every person that I'd talked to has. It just shows us that our life is completely full of potential, and everything starts with us. And that is the healing and the awakening of ourself personally and our community. I'm on fire with it. I was really excited, really excited.
Philip: Yes, it's a lot of fun. A lot of fun, a lot of wisdom. So, that's from our hearts, we invite you to join us for this Yoga of Healing & Awakening Summit. Thank you all and namaste.
Cyndi: Namaste.
