Hi, I'm Lisa Bonnice, your host for The Shift Network's first ever Ancestral Healing Summit, a free online event from April 8-12. The topic of ancestral healing is so expansive and diverse that it takes a whole five days with over three dozen expert speakers to even begin the discussion, and we're still only scratching the surface.
We'll be talking about the hard science of epigenetics, which tells how our ancestors’ experiences affected their DNA, which then got passed down to us in the form of illnesses, phobias, unhealthy social behavior patterns, anxiety, depression, PTSD… The list goes on.
You'll be able to watch my video interviews with some of the top experts in the field, like Drs. Dan Siegel and Sue Morter, and Dawson Church, and Gregg Braden. We'll look at the psychological aspects of how our ancestors affect us with Mark Wolynn, head of the Family Constellations Institute and Director of the Inherited Trauma Institute.
We also talk with Sangoma healer Gogo Ekhaya Esima, who specializes in exploring the connection between what may appear as mental or physical illness, but is actually unaddressed ancestral calling.
We'll explore ancestor healing from a shamanic perspective with many shamanists like Sandra Ingerman, Hank Wesselman, don Oscar Miro-Quesada, and, of course, Daniel Foor, a renowned expert in ancestral healing work. They and many others offer powerful insights into how you can explore communication with your ancestors and work with them to create a more satisfying and healthy life for you, your family, and your descendants.
We'll also dive into some fascinating conversations about how past lives enter into the equation with Dr. Linda Backman and how karma plays a role with Raja Choudhury. We'll also be talking with Natalia O'Sullivan, a psychic medium who specializes in ancestral healing work and Desda Zuckerman, an expert in working with the energy field in clearing up stuck ancestral patterns.
We'll even address how adoptees who may have no idea who their ancestors are can absolutely participate in this work. And because ancestral healing is something we all have in common, we adopted a global perspective and connected with experts with backgrounds in some of humankind's most destructive historical events like the African diaspora, the Holocaust, the displacement of Indigenous peoples, Japanese internment camps, and the oppression of the LGBTQ community. Each and every expert we talk with offers incredible insights and wisdom, and there are far too many to name here.
Please take a look at the lineup and make a point of listening in to as many as you can. These illuminating conversations will change the way you look at your life, the lives of those who came before you, and those who are yet to come. I do hope you'll join us for the Ancestral Healing Summit, a free online event from April 8–12. See you there.
Lisa Bonnice is an award-winning writer and humorist, winning two Excellence Awards from MSNBC.com during her tenure there as a news writer/associate producer. She also traveled the country as a stand-up comedienne, working with the likes of Tim Allen and Steve Harvey.
Her first book, Shape Shifting: Reclaiming Your Perfect Body, includes a foreword by Neale Donald Walsch, with whom she worked within the organization he founded, Humanity's Team, as the Regional Director of the entire southern portion of the United States. Her award-winning True Crime novel, Fear of Our Father, was featured on the Investigation Discovery Network. Her newest novel, a metaphysical comedy called The Poppet Master, comes out in the summer of 2019.
Lisa hosted her own podcast, Shape Shifting, on BlogTalkRadio, featuring such guests as Lynne McTaggart, Edgar Mitchell, and Neale Donald Walsch. She has been a program host with The Shift Network for over three years, where she has interviewed luminaries such as Gregg Braden, Robert Thurman, and Stanislov Grof.
Her current writing project, based on actual events found in her family tree, spurred Lisa into her almost obsessive interest in ancestral healing. While doing genealogy research, she discovered an ancient witch trial and generational curse, which explained an awful lot about strange patterns and illnesses in her life and those of her family. As her work with Shift offered access to many of today's leading-edge speakers, she noticed a common theme: many of them briefly referred to working with ancestors to heal illness and behavior patterns, but ancestral healing itself was never the main focus of the conversations. Lisa picked up these threads and tied them together, weaving together the Ancestral Healing Summit with Shift’s Summits team. One of her writing projects, tentatively titled The Maxwell Curse, tells how ancestral legacies can ripple across time for centuries, leaving havoc in their wake. Lisa feels that it's her life's work to heal that curse by working with her ancestors, and sharing with others how they too can break the ties that bind them to their own families' past histories.
