Manuela Mischke-Reeds, MA, MFT, is an international teacher and author of mindfulness-based somatic psychology. She co-directs the Hakomi Institute of California and teaches in the US, Europe, China, Australia, and New Zealand. She is a Dharma teacher with Dharma Ocean and teaches Meditating with the Body residential retreats. Manuela lectures, consults, and trains professionals in embodied mindfulness and compassion, attachment and trauma therapy as well as movement therapy.
She has presented at conferences and Universities, and been faculty at JFK University, California Institute of Integral Studies in California. She hosted the Hakomi Summit and Hakomi Essentials Course at The Shift Network over the past two years. Manuela is the author of 8 Keys to Practicing Mindfulness (W.W.Norton) and has written chapters in Hakomi Mindfulness-centered Somatic Psychotherapy (W.W.Norton). Her new book on Somatic Psychotherapy techniques is coming out soon.
