Hello, everyone. I'm Sharron Rose, your host for the Shift Network's Qigong Global Summit. I'm a filmmaker, author, teacher, and I'm the producer/director of the forthcoming series, Quantum Qi: The Taoist Art of Nurturing Life.
What is Qi? Qi is the life force... don't we need all that these days? We need more energy, more joy, more happiness, more balance and harmony. That's what Qigong brings to us. Not only Qigong, but Tai Chi, martial arts, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine. This and so much more is going to be discussed in this summit. We have 24 wonderful masters of Qigong, Tai Chi, martial arts, acupuncturists as part of the summit, who are bringing their wisdom to all of you, gleaned from many, many, many years of experience, practice, teaching, and so much more. It's been a joy for me to be with all of them, and I'm so excited to share their knowledge and wisdom and exercises and practices to help you heal, to help you bring this life force, this powerful energy into your body and then share that energy with others.
Featured in the summit are well-known teachers, masters, grand masters such as Dr. Effie Chow, the mother of Qigong in the west. Mantak Chia, who is probably the most well-known Qigong master. Ken Cohen, Roger Jahnke, Ama Lia, Wai Ching Li, Daisy Lee, Francesco Garripoli, John Milton, and so many more who are here to speak to you about the power of Qi, bringing it into your life. Bringing this healing, healing energy to yourselves and to the world.
You know, we live in a time where we really need, we really desire to bring harmony and balance to all of us, and that's the essence of Qigong, the essence of Taoism, the ancient Chinese philosophical system from where these practices began.
If you're into yoga — so many yoga people are doing Qigong these days — because when they feel the Qi, they get so excited, and it's such a beautiful, self-healing technique. You feel this Qi flowing into your body and flowing out through your hands. To heal yourself, and to heal others. So, join me… join us, we're here for you. We're here to bring this happiness, this love, this grace, this life force energy to you all. Thank you.
