In these troubled times, shamanism — the most ancient spiritual practice on Earth — can help us navigate the thickets of divisiveness by reconnecting us with the natural world, opening us to the power of ritual, connecting us with higher guidance and helping spirits, and so much more.
Shamanism offers a deeper earth-based, ancient wisdom that complements both Eastern and Western spiritual paths so we can create something that is truly whole and balanced.
Indeed, people all over the world are awakening to the realization that shamanism is one of the great spiritual systems for awakening, healing, and transformation.
If you’d like to discover ancient shamanic practices from diverse traditions to apply to your daily life and our world, our FREE online Shamanism Global Summit, which takes place July 10–12, will be a revelation.
Modern shamanism provides a pathway of sacred, practical action — allowing you to build inner resources and access guidance to become a positive and effective agent of change.
It can also help you cultivate spiritual alignment, abundance, and love in your life and a natural sense of deep interconnection with all the world — seen and unseen.
Summit host Michael Stone has put together an incredible lineup of two dozen leading teachers to educate, surprise, and inspire you with profound insights about shamanic practices that can help you transform your day-to-day life.
Speakers include Sandra Ingerman, Alberto Villoldo, Nonty Charity Sabic, Mandaza Kandemwa, Brooke Medicine Eagle, don Oscar Miro-Quesada, HeatherAsh Amara, Robert Moss, Grandmother Flordemayo, José & Lena Stevens, Jorge Luis Delgado, Mallku Aribalo, and many more. Shamanism is a path of knowledge, not of faith, and that knowledge cannot come from me or anyone else in this reality. To acquire that knowledge, including the knowledge of the reality of the spirits, it is necessary to step through the shaman's doorway and acquire empirical evidence. — Michael Harner

In this interview and in her book, Transcendent Dreaming: Stepping into Our Human Potential,Shamanism Global Summit speaker Christina Donnell conveys a simple yet profound message: Through deepening receptive awareness, the participatory nature of perception unfolds and the transfiguration of our consciousness occurs. Christina was initiated as a medicine woman by the Q’ero Indians of the High Andes and has worked closely with them for 25 years. Inspired by the cultural shifts and changing human values on a planetary scale, she is dedicated to cultivating and awakening the potency of the human spirit. To watch the interview, click here.

This is the fourth year that I have had the privilege of hosting The Shift Network’s Shamanism Global Summit. Each year, the conversations with these mystic shamans, sangomas, and medicine people from around the world continues to deepen.
During the three days of the summit (July 10–12) you will hear a vast array of wisdom, inspiration, and practical processes intended to guide you to an experience of your most authentic, original, and sacred self — and teach you how to navigate these turbulent times of transformation and awakening to the Spirit that lives in all things. We can no longer wait for a savior, politician, or outside expert to save us. Shamanism is a practice of self-revelation, and this revolution is coming from within; consciousness itself is awakening in us. We hope you will join us for this journey into the spacious interiority as it merges with the external beauty that surrounds us. The human soul is hungry to come home to this beauty.
This story takes us back to a past that has been lost deep in time and space…
As more and more people are finding their spiritual path and making their own direct connection with the Creator, the face of shamanism is changing and it is more important than ever to understand where the true power of the Shaman originates. In the Maya world it is very clear — the spiritual power of the Maya has deep roots, taking us back to Atlantis and beyond. Today, the Maya Masters of Light are still very active and open to sharing their knowledge.
There are two underlying assumptions that inform the Shamanic Astrology Paradigm™
1) We do not incarnate into this life as a “blank slate,” as expressed in the idea that individuals are born without mental content and therefore all knowledge comes from one’s life experience or perception.
The Shamanic Astrology Paradigm holds that attitudes, habits, addictions, and expectations exist prior to encounters with our parents or the culture or historical time period we are growing up in. In other words, there is a (personal) nature before we experience nurture.
The Dreaming Bones By Christina Donnell (a featured speaker in the Shamanism Global Summit)
In 1991 a dream visited me in the night about a mummy adorned in gold. In the dream I find myself sitting with three men and a woman at a table in an English pub at Heathrow Airport in London. I’m waiting to connect with an international flight to the United States. One of the men asks me if I will deliver the package under the table to the U.S. Looking under the table, I am surprised to see a wooden box — five feet long, 18 inches wide, a foot in height. While pondering the size and what possibly it contains, I remark, “The box is quite large. I need to see what is inside.” I have no intention of honoring the request.
Do you ever imagine a bubble around you, creating a buffer between you and another person or an emotionally challenging situation? Or when that doesn’t work, maybe you put on an invisible suit of armor to increase the level of protection… If “shielding” yourself in this way works for you, read no further.
However, if you still come away sometimes feeling exhausted, ungrounded, or overwhelmed, it may be because you are overly empathic and have more to learn about how to manage the energetic boundaries between you and the world around you.
Most of us were told as children to think before we speak, but did you also learn to become aware of what you think? Shamans believe we have the power to affect our bodies, minds, and souls –– and the plants, animals, and beings around us –– with our mere thoughts and words. We are all part of a great Web of Life.
And doing the inner work to become more aware of what we’re bringing to the world –– and how we may be affecting our lives and those of others –– is at the core of walking the shamanic path. In this 8-minute video, renowned shamanism teacher Sandra Ingerman provides you with simple practices that can help you heighten your awareness of the thought loops you find yourself in throughout your day.

Jump to the Sun By Fu-Ding Cheng (a featured speaker in the Shamanism Global Summit)
In 1994, fifteen people, including my wife, Linda, and I, gathered at a West Hollywood apartment to listen to a Toltec shaman from Mexico with long brown hair who spoke in a very gentle voice. Having studied briefly with Carlos Castaneda in the nineties — whom I loved as an author, but not as a teacher because his path was so fear-driven — I was ready for a second opinion about Mesoamerican shamans.
As I listened with the others, he spoke about waking up from “the dream of the planet,” the “art of stalking,” the “angel of death,” and much more.

Racism is examined on four levels: internalized, interpersonal, institutional, and structural. Tools to assess the state of one’s organization and community are introduced. Participants also have the opportunity to participate in caucus groups and bridge the chasm between community and institution throughout their Prism journey. Leaders leave the program with greater self awareness, an individualized plan for beginning to dismantle racism in their neighborhood or organization and greater capacity to do so. They also gain a group of fellow travelers to support them well beyond the structured program experience. Click here for more information.

We know there are ways to bring back the rainforest while improving the livelihoods of people. These green ways are more than sustainable, they're regenerative. We know that successful regenerative planting systems exist because we have been creating them for over a decade. Now we're sharing our most successful strategies with farmers and native communities in the Amazon of Peru, bringing back forests to areas degraded by agriculture, gold mining, and ranching. The Andean Research Institute [ARI] exists to support the Andean and Amazon cultures and the wisdom keepers who have been gifting us their extraordinary knowledge for decades. Theirs is the wisdom of abundant life and wellbeing. It is the wisdom that

A message from Gentle Thunder, a Grammy nominee for Best New Age Album:
I am grateful to live and find my inspiration in Mount Shasta, California. I have been sharing my heart, and touching the hearts of others through music for over 30 years.
My journey began as a rock-n-roll drummer and my musical expression has grown to encompass hammer dulcimer, piano, Native American flute, taiko, and ceremonial drumming. I have traveled to many places around the world and honor the circle of life wherever I share my music.
It is my intention to be the instrument through which Great Spirit speaks, holding the space for the remembrance of our wholeness and to awaken a deep sense of authentic inner peace.
