You have the ability to activate your body’s natural healing potential.
That’s the empowering concept underlying the science and practice of energy medicine, which states that you can take an active role in your healing via modalities such as meridian clearing, qi balancing, acupuncture, Ayurvedic medicine, shamanic practices, chakra work, qigong, hands-on healing, and many more.
Instead of focusing on symptoms and treating those symptoms from an external perspective as Western medicine does, energy medicine focuses on building and harmonizing your life force to address a root cause of disease and imbalance, thus healing you from the inside. You can support and revitalize your whole being by harnessing the best of both Western medicine and energy medicine practices.
Energy medicine gives you a more holistic and self-empowering approach to healing — by not only addressing your body, mind, and spirit, but also by working with your emotions, past trauma, and even your relationships.
That’s why we’re so excited about the launch of our Energy Medicine & Healing Summit (April 23–27), hosted by Dondi Dahlin, energy medicine consultant and bestselling author. Click here to watch Dondi’s video invitation to you.
The groundbreaking speakers in this global gathering — including Joan Borysenko, Donna Eden, Anodea Judith, Master Mingtong Gu, Dr. Sue Morter, Rhys Thomas, Jean Haner, Holly Tse, Wendy De Rosa, and Amy Scher — will bring to light the curative and evolutionary powers of proven energy practices to create vibrant health for you and your family!
During the Energy Medicine & Healing Summit, you’ll discover how to take your health into your own hands (literally!) with today’s top energy medicine experts, health practitioners, and healers who’ll guide you toward transforming your overall health from the inside out. To register for this free summit, click here. We already have 55,000 people registered — one of our largest Summits ever!
In this edition of Catalyst, you’ll find an abundance of profound and inspiring content about a variety of meaningful topics. We’re also excited to include an in-depth video interview with Philip Goldberg, author of the new book, The Life of Yogananda — a biography of Paramahansa Yogananda, the Indian guru who wrote Autobiography of a Yogi.
And we’d love to hear your answer to the question, What energy medicine modality resonates with you the most, and why? To share your thoughts in our Facebook Page community, click here
Energy Medicine is not just a set of ideas somewhere out in the ethers. It is designed to empower you to make better choices for your health and strengthen the connection to your daily life. — Donna Eden
Hello, my name is Dondi Dahlin, and I hope you will join me for the second annual Energy Medicine and Healing Summit. This is such a unique summit, and one of the reasons it is is because we have over 30 expert speakers in the field of energy medicine, all talking about different modalities that fall under the umbrella of energy medicine.
So you will be able to hear and learn about everything from reiki... to foot reflexology... to energy medicine for animals... energy medicine for children... shamanism... tuning forks... ancestral healing... the Akashic records... Eden energy medicine... and the list goes on.
It's such an important summit, and it's so important to have energy medicine in your life, because let's face it, healthcare costs are going up in Western medicine. Western medicine is really struggling, limping along, while people get sicker and sicker and sicker. Well, in this summit you will learn techniques, natural techniques, that you can do right now, on the summit, to help with your ailments, your challenges.

In this 30-minute talk, award-winning journalist and author Lynne McTaggart addresses the questions she asked herself 12 years ago: “Can you use intention to heal the world?” What happens when lots of people are thinking the same thought at the same time... does it magnify the effect?” In 2007, working with a large consortium of scientists highly experienced in consciousness research, Lynne created the world’s largest global laboratory to test the power of mass intention to heal some of the world’s major issues. In this exclusive 71-minute video interview for Catalyst, author Philip Goldberg talks about his new book, The Life of Yogananda — a biography of Paramahansa Yogananda, the Indian guru who wrote Autobiography of a Yogi.
Yogananda's been gone for 66 years, and he's probably still the best known Indian guru in the west, despite the fact that dozens have come after him, and many are still living. And I think much of that can be attributed, certainly probably the main factor, is the popularity and... it's even beyond popularity. Autobiography of a Yogi is not just popular, it's beloved, and it endures. It still sells thousands of copies a year, and his face on the cover, as you can see behind me, is still present. You can go to yoga school, you go to bookstores, you go to health food stores, wherever, you see that face and that book.
In the middle of the Mojave Desert, I saw a motorist staring helplessly into the engine of his stalled car. The sun was beating down on him in 100+ degree heat. I felt bad for him. I knew what it felt like to be stuck in the middle of nowhere. I had been helped by the kindness of strangers in the past, and here was an opportunity to help another human being. I pulled over to the side of the freeway and offered him assistance…

Teach Me to Be WILD explores the work of Wildlife Associates, a sanctuary in Northern California, where injured, non-releasable wild animals become Wild Teachers and are helping heal generations of hurt children. The traumatic histories of the creatures, who range from an Andean condor to a two-toed sloth, often parallel those of the at-risk youth who visit. Unexpected connections are forged that ripple into stories of transformation. With intimate access to the animals, their caregivers, workshop facilitators, and their spirited students, this film captures the magic that transpires where wounded children and their Wild Teachers meet.
Teach Me To Be WILD is a universal healing story that brings together many interconnected elements: children, animals, nature, ancient wisdom, and the power of silence and safe, non-judgmental listening spaces. The entire film can be streamed here.
The filmmakers were recently interviewed for a global Awakin.org call in which they spoke about the film and its journey — you can find the recording and transcript of the call here. And you can read the film testimonials here.

When I was 25 years old, I thought, as most 20-something-year-olds do, that my life was set. Little did I know, my dream life would begin to fold suddenly when I began having trouble walking up the gentle ramp from my office. Shortly after that, I started to lose function of my arms. Doctors were puzzled, I was terrified, and my neurologist ordered me not to return to work. After testing revealed the outer sheath (covering) of my nerves was quickly unraveling throughout my body, I was diagnosed with a rare form of neuropathy.
As I began to soul search and research, I discovered the critical impact that unresolved emotional energy has on our lives. And even being familiar with the mind-body concept, especially while living in India, it was way bigger than I ever thought.
Money has never been one of my favorite topics to talk about in healing work. The reason is, I’m not an expert in money and I’m guided to talk about spiritual growth. Yet, money is spiritual by nature of the energy underneath it. Money, or lack of, is also the elephant in the room for many overly-empathic people, and there is a correlation!
Now this may not apply to everyone, but there may be some gems here that are very helpful for you or someone you know.
In a world riven by tension, there’s one skill that stands above all others: the ability to resolve conflict. It is the paramount challenge of our time.
There are so many divisions that fracture our communities, states, and nations, that the ability to create common ground — to bring people together, rather than drive them apart — has become an indispensable political need.
Are we really prepared to live a long second half of life? Nice idea, right? AND as baby boomers and as a society, we are in the very beginning stages of learning how to do that well, in body, mind, and spirit. In this second half of life, we have an unprecedented opportunity to enter aging with awareness — a chance to wake up and wise up to our aging experience with the realities of its challenges and its gifts.
Approaching aging with a sense of focused awareness and cultivating good mind/body practices helps me set the stage for my ripening process to be the most it can be. My lifelong yoga practice (both physical and spiritual) gives me access to engage a variety of disciplines that I use to fully embrace the blooming of this conscious aging process.
Can it really be true that most people in jail are being held before trial? And how much of mass incarceration is a result of the war on drugs? These questions are harder to answer than you might think, because our country’s systems of confinement are so fragmented. The various government agencies involved in the justice system collect a lot of critical data, but it is not designed to help policymakers or the public understand what’s going on. Meaningful criminal justice reform that reduces the massive scale of incarceration, however, requires that we start with the big picture. The Prison Policy Initiative was founded in 2001 to document and publicize how mass incarceration punishes our entire society.
Falling asleep, waking up, and showering are numinous times for me. Thoughts flow, creativity blossoms, and sometimes out of those relaxed states of consciousness I find a solution, gain an insight, or ask a question. The latter happened one morning in late autumn of 2014. Michael Brown had been murdered by a police officer in Ferguson, sparking months of protests, and Black Lives Matter surged into the national spotlight. In my own life, I was healing personal trauma stemming from childhood abuse and neglect.
In those waking seconds that morning, my personal history and our national history intersected. I woke with a question burning through the bleariness of my morning mind. Is it possible that the neglect and abuse of my childhood is due to my ancestors enslaving black people? Is it possible that in owning human beings, my ancestors harmed themselves and passed that damage down to their children and grandchildren, and eventually to me?

For several years, The Shift Network has hosted Indigenous leaders from around the world and invited them to share their sacred knowledge, rituals, and practices to guide us in a way of living that is sustainable, healthy, and just. We’re thus delighted that the Global Indigenous Wisdom Library makes this “virtual council” of leaders and their wisdom available for everyone, everywhere for free. The Global Indigenous Wisdom Library is a collection of audio and video interviews featuring Indigenous leaders from around the world sharing prayers, sacred songs, prophecies, spiritual teachings, and pathways to healing, as well as concrete examples for birthing a new era — one in which all members of the human family are treated with respect, understanding, compassion, and justice. This sacred wisdom is important medicine for us all.
The production of The Global Indigenous Wisdom Library is a gift from The Shift Network, designed to inspire, inform, and involve you by highlighting the voices and important messages of Indigenous leaders from around the world. We want to give a heartfelt thanks to Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr. (“Brother Phil”) for his partnership in helping create this Indigenous Wisdom collection. And we thank all the speakers who have contributed to this body of knowledge. To discover more, click here.

Avenya facilitates the creation of foundations for a culture of peace, through re-connecting to the Earth’s spiritual dimension and the source of life. Avenya is addressing humanity’s inability to recognize the spiritual evolutionary processes the Earth’s soul is undergoing and its influence on humanity. We offer tools to develop an inner language to communicate with the Earth and harmonize our ways of living with her processes of spiritual evolution.
Avenya is fundraising for a groundbreaking documentary film with special animation. The film will portray the spiritual dimension of the Earth, humanity’s relationship with her, our disconnection from the spirit through our materially focused life, and ways to reconnect to this sacred world and through that promote a culture of peace. Born on the tiny Island of Guernsey to a Portuguese family, British singer-songwriter Nessi Gomes, Winner of Best UK Unsigned Female 2016, channels influences from both sides of her ethnicity, blending the essence of the traditional, emotional, and “larger than life” Fado folk music with British contemporary inspiration.
Though spending most of her life in the Channel Islands, the turning point in Nessi’s musical expression took place six years ago when she lived in Central America. The years she spent away from her home shook her world and reshaped her writing. She shifted from the more obvious themes of love, loss, and broken hearts to ruthlessly exploring her inner geography, insecurities, beauty, and light that she found there.
In her debut album, Diamonds & Demons, ensuing tales of darkness and light allow a deeper exploration of the human condition, psyche, collective fears, and torments.
