Rediscover 5,000 years of herbal wisdom to naturally alleviate pain and inflammation.
Recreate time-tested remedies from ancient traditions and deepen your connection to the plant world, while fostering a profound sense of belonging and interconnectedness to humanity’s shared legacy of healing — and the rich, living tradition of global botanical medicine.
What if the answer to your pain lies in ancient herbal knowledge — perhaps a medicinal formula that was used in ancient Egypt, or even as far back as the Paleolithic era?
Pain and inflammation touch every aspect of our lives, from physical health to emotional wellbeing. The wisdom of ancient plant medicine can offer us a pathway to relief.
Unlike pharmaceuticals, which may address symptoms but come with side effects, these botanical remedies work holistically, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal.
Drawing from every culture on every continent over untold eons, the world has accumulated a vast resource of knowledge about how to heal or reduce pain and inflammation by working with the natural restorative power of plants.
Yet, many of these ancient remedies have been long forgotten.
Join celebrated master clinical herbalist David Crow, a researcher and renowned educator of natural medicine, in a brand-new online event where you’ll discover that medicinal plants have been used since antiquity, with recorded evidence dating back over 60,000 years!
You’ll hear about a treasure trove of time-tested remedies dating as far back as the Stone Age.
With decades of experience and an unwavering passion for harvesting plant wisdom from any and all sources, David has meticulously curated this event to bring you the very best of what humanity’s pharmacopeias have to offer.
Many of these time-tested, highly effective herbal remedies are still available today, and their formulations can not only be recreated, they’ve also been found to be useful in treating more modern degenerative diseases.
Whether for headaches, intestinal cramping, menstrual pain, loss of mobility, or other ailments, humans have gathered, studied, and applied the natural pharmacopeia offered by our environment.
For the last five thousand years, herbalists, shamans, folk healers, and physicians have contributed empirical evidence on the efficacy of a huge number of herbs and formulations with anti-inflammatory and analgesic powers.
This far-reaching and intricate body of practical information — documented in ancient texts and sustained through oral traditions — forms the foundation of herbalism as we know it today.
In addition to oral usage, many of the herbs and formulas were administered as topical applications — including liniments, poultices, herbal baths, herbal oils, and herbal steam treatments — all of which can be duplicated relatively easily for a high level of self-care.
With David’s guidance, you’ll learn how to rediscover the treasures of these herbal traditions and bring their healing power into your own life.
David will guide you through a potent experiential practice, a mindfulness meditation involving a simple herbal tea for pain and inflammation — the same herbs that were used by Paleolithic humans for the same purpose.
Feel free to come to the event with a warm cup of the tea of your choosing — nettles, yarrow, thyme, elderberry flower, or berries. If you don’t have any of these in your kitchen, you’ll still benefit greatly from the exercise.
This process will illustrate that herbal medicine is more than a practical tool for physical healing — it’s a bridge to our collective past. As you sip the tea (or imagine tasting it), you’ll journey back to its roots in ancient history, creating a profound link to the humans who first discovered its healing power.
In this highly informative hour-long workshop, you’ll discover:
- The 5 most universally used herbs for distinct kinds of pain and inflammation from 5 ancient medical systems
- A guided meditation with a common herbal tea that dates back to the Paleolithic Age — connecting you to its practical benefits and leaving you with a tangible sense of belonging to an unbroken lineage of ancestral healers
- How ancient medical traditions can help you discover new ways to treat old health challenges — and old ways to treat new health challenges
- That you can combine herbs with pharmaceuticals and create your own oral and topical applications for self-care
- Widely used herbal formulas for pain and inflammation from Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Unani medicine
This event serves as a gateway into one of humanity’s greatest legacies that’s evolved over tens of thousands of years — our intimate bond with the plant world.
When you attend, you’ll also be among the first to hear about David’s new 7-week live video course, in which you’ll delve deeper into global plant medicine traditions across millennia, learn how to treat pain and inflammation through this vast ancestral knowledge, and receive an extensive pharmacopeia of individual herbs and formulas to use for your own healing.
