Module 2: The Great Peace
The Transcendent Godhead (June 13)
The Great Peace — the tremendous clarion call of all the major mystics of all traditions — is the first of the fiver major aspects of divine love that need to be integrated at your deepest depths. Without this great divine serenity, clear discernment, profound patience and cosmic perspective, you cannot be grounded in the Divine.
In this module, you’ll:
- Appreciate the perfection of what is ceaselessly unfolding all around you
- Understand why the Great Peace is the transcendent Godhead, a.k.a. the Heavenly Father, beyond creation
- Receive easy-to-use techniques that give you practical ways to reduce stress, calm your mind and return it to its ground in light

Module 3: The Great Passion
The Embodied Godhead (June 20)
The Great Passion, the other “face” of the Divine, is the wild, holy evolutionary, creative passion that the Great Peace emanates. When the Great Passion is “married” to the Great Peace, the two opposites (beyond creation and within creation) dance within you, and you become one with the Father/Mother.
In this module, you’ll:
- Understand why the Great Passion is the embodied Godhead, a.k.a. The Divine Mother, within creation
- Be given powerful heart practices that will awaken the passion of the sacred heart
- Receive effective body practices that will support the fiery energies released in and through divine passion
- Be given sacred practices to help you integrate the love of the Beloved into the very core of your extraordinary ordinary daily life
Module 4: Integration Session (June 27)
In this special session, you’ll be able to engage with Andrew to further explore the course material and deepen your understanding. Module 5: The Great Wisdom of the Light (July 11)
Love isn’t simply or even primarily an emotion, it is also an eruption of a profound ecstatic knowledge as you walk the sacred path of transfiguration. Only by initiation into the holy, radiant power of the divine light can you allow the fullness of transcendence to dissolve all your separations from your own divine self that is one with the Divine self.
In this module, you’ll:
- Be introduced to the wisdom of the light that divine love opens up
- Awaken to the hope that the light of wisdom opens up
- Discover why the great wisdom of the light is essential to the work of divine love
- Receive essential practices that enable you over time to experience the light directly

Module 6: The Great Wisdom of the Dark (July 18)
In this world of duality, the Great Wisdom of the Dark is an indispensable partner in the dance of opposites required for transfiguration. This is the wisdom of the serpent, of heartbroken, humble compassion, and can only come from radical heartbreak — heartbreak at your own inner Dark Night that’s essential for the birth of the Divine in you, and heartbreak at the agony of this exploding world crisis that threatens the extinction of the human race and of a large swath of nature.
In this module, you’ll:
- Discover how to find pearls of divine wisdom by diving deeply into both your individual shadow and the collective shadow
- Understand the ways in which your personal shadow colludes with the collective shadow
- Receive a vision of the power and glory of the dark feminine energy of Kali and the Black Madonna
- Understand why courageously facing the global Dark Night ultimately leads you to the lap of the Divine
- Find out the three supreme gifts of the Great Wisdom of the Dark
- Discover how to shatter the final barrier between humanity and divinity
- Appreciate the imperative of sacred activism for global healing

Module 7: Integration Session (July 25)
In this special session, you’ll be able to engage with Andrew to further explore the course material and deepen your understanding. Module 8: Putting Divine Love Into Action (August 1)
We’ll be exploring the holiest ideals of how to put the five major aspects of divine love into radical practice. These ideals are represented by the tantric vision of Christ Consciousness and by the Buddhist vision of the Bodhisattva: a being who absolutely embraces all of the pain, glory, madness, chaos, order and beauty of the world and enters fully into life, fully conscious of divine identity, and blazing with divine love to selflessly do divine work in the world.
In this module, you’ll:
- Look at the numerous ways these holiest of ideals have been manifested throughout history
- Understand why the fifth major aspect of divine love — putting divine love into action — is indispensable to living a truly spiritual life
- Examine the vision of the divine transfiguration process
- Discover why doing your own unique sacred work helps birth the new embodied divine humanity
- Explore the seven laws, drawn from the great mystical traditions, that govern sacred action

Module 9: A Universal Vision of Divine Love ( August 8)
We’ll be exploring how the lover — the one who has fallen in love with the Beloved, and is experiencing the Beloved-beloved relationship — loves all things and all beings as living signs of the Divine presence. And we’ll be examining the power of sacred imagination inspired by divine love to create possibilities for that love to be realized over time.
In this module, you’ll:
- Establish the nature of divine love — how it is simultaneously dynamic and peaceful
- Discover how this love is expressed through both presence and through a focus on real problems in the world
- Explore what the lover does with his or her life by expressing their love in sacred action
- Examine the dynamic relationship between grand ideals and practical action
- Understand how putting divine love into action can help transform the cultural and global crises that threaten to destroy life on this planet

Andrew and Mirabai share the ecstatic sensibilities of the poet mystics they adore, combined with a ferocious commitment to activating personal spiritual practice on behalf of the world. Mirabai Starr writes creative nonfiction and contemporary translations of sacred literature. A certified bereavement counselor, Mirabai helps mourners harness the transformational power of loss. She has received critical acclaim for her revolutionary new translations of John of the Cross’ Dark Night of the Soul and Teresa of Avila’s The Interior Castle. She is author of the poetry collection, Mother of God Similar to Fire, a collaboration with iconographer William Hart McNichols, and the award-winning book, God of Love: A Guide to the Heart of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Her newest book, Caravan of No Despair: A Memoir of Loss and Transformation, received the Spirituality & Practice “Best Books of 2015” award. She lives with her extended family in the mountains of northern New Mexico.

In this special session, Andrew is joined by his friend and spiritual activist, Adam Bucko. Adam’s work impacts many homeless youth in New York and he is at the forefront of the growing sacred activism movement along with Andrew. These two respected leaders will discuss how the role of prayer in activism can truly change the world.
Adam Bucko is an activist, spiritual director to many of New York City’s homeless youth, and co-author of Occupy Spirituality: A Radical Vision for a New Generation. He grew up in Poland during the totalitarian regime and spent his early years exploring the anarchist youth movement as a force for social and political change. At the age of 17, Adam immigrated to America where his desire to find his path towards a meaningful life led him to monasteries in the U.S. and India. His life-defining experience took place in India, where on his way to a Himalayan hermitage, he met a homeless child who lived on the streets of Delhi. This brief encounter led him to the “Ashram of the Poor,” where he began his work with homeless youth. After returning to the U.S., he worked on the streets of various American cities with young people struggling against homelessness and prostitution. He eventually co-founded The Reciprocity Foundation, an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of New York City’s homeless youth.

About Andrew Harvey
Andrew Harvey is an author, speaker and founder/director of the Institute of Sacred Activism, an international organization focused on inviting concerned people to take up the challenge of our contemporary global crises by becoming inspired, effective and practical agents of institutional and systemic change in order to create peace and sustainability.
Andrew has taught at Oxford University, Cornell University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, The California Institute of Integral Studies and the University of Creation Spirituality as well as at various spiritual centers throughout the U.S. He was the subject of the 1993 BBC film documentary, The Making of a Modern Mystic, and appears also in Rumi Turning Ecstatic and The Consciousness of the Christ: Reclaiming Jesus for A New Humanity. He is co-author of the bestseller, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, and has worked with the great Iranian Sufi dancer, Banafsheh Sayyad, in producing a film, In the Fire of Grace, which marries Sufi-inspired dances to the stages of Rumi’s understanding of the path of Divine Love.
He has written and edited over 30 books and received many awards, including the Benjamin Franklin Award and the Mind Body Spirit Award.

A: It’s a great way to engage live teachings and each other from the comfort of your home! All you need is a phone line (or an equivalent voice service). If there is more than one person in your household taking the course, you will each need your own line. We use MaestroConference to make it just like an in-person event, where you can ask questions, participate in groups, and deepen your exploration of the course themes.
Please note that dialing MaestroConference from your phone is a regular toll call to California; your telephone service provider will charge you according to your existing long-distance calling plan. Other options include calling cards and discount long-distance carriers. You can also use Skype to connect to MaestroConference at no charge, and we offer a webcast which is free to use from anywhere in the world.
