Dr. Martha Eddy, RSMT
Tuesday, February 6, 2024
Discover how steady, intentional movement and the connections between your feet, heart, pelvis, and brain can bring you lasting, whole-being health and balance in 2024 and beyond.
Experience a profound body-mind integration through exploring the neuroendocrine system — gaining insights from every cell and tissue for a more impactful presence in the world.
If you’re looking to cultivate more wellbeing, purpose, and calm in 2024, it’s important to be able to slow down, tune in, and transition to a more reflective mindset.
Dr. Martha Eddy, RSMT, founding director of Dynamic Embodiment® Somatic Movement Therapy, shares that our bodies are not just physical entities.
They are also reservoirs of emotions and sensations, capable of derailing us or propelling us forward with renewed energy and focus.
When you can register your sensations, you can understand what they mean — and then realize how they can support your daily actions, such as taking breaks when stressed and practicing yoga to relieve muscle tension.
Awareness of these sensations also aids in emotional regulation, allowing you to successfully use strategies like deep breathing to manage anxiety.
You’ll also be able to better maintain presence and calm when faced with challenging people and situations. Moving helps you become more aware of your body language and that of others, supporting communication.
Join Dr. Eddy for a transformative 7-week journey in the practice of Dynamic Embodiment Movement. It’s a potent practice that encourages attentiveness…
… and combines touch, intentional movement, and empathetic dialogue with yourself and others by raising kinesthetic awareness to inform behavior, and using proprioception — the ability to feel the body.
The course is designed to empower people of all ages and abilities to manage stress, enhance emotional expressiveness, and achieve holistic wellbeing in both body and mind.
In this liberating course, you’ll discover the synergy of mental and physical wellbeing and engage in meaningful self-reflection and discussions while exploring dynamic BodyMind Dancing™ techniques.
From “Relax to Focus™” for self-regulation to “Lymphatic Warrior™” for reducing swelling and pain, from “Sun Salutation” for calming the nervous system to “Active Witnessing™” for expressing feelings and inspiring action…
… these practices will guide you toward nurturing internal awareness.
You’ll experience movements to connect your low and high brain, heart, and gut to help you achieve synchronicity and ease in life.
Dr. Eddy will also guide you in a process to prioritize your goals and help you craft a personal movement program tailored to your needs and aspirations for 2024 and beyond.
By expanding your understanding of your body and embracing a wider spectrum of movement, each mirroring different emotions, you’ll gain the unique ability…
… to influence and intentionally choose the moods you experience throughout the day, not only enriching your physical expression but also empowering you to consciously create your life.
No prior movement class or knowledge of dance is required for this course. If you have a desire for a calmer, more centered self, this program is for you.
During this life-enhancing course, you’ll:
- Move with more joy and embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle through diverse movement styles

“There were so many aspects of Martha’s class that were so helpful — I have been incorporating the exercises almost daily.”
There were so many aspects of Martha’s class that were so helpful — I have been incorporating the exercises almost daily. It seems my body releases and unwinds as I do her work. It has helped me become more aware of when I get into situations that in the past would have [made me] stressed out — now I recognize if I’m getting stressed and I can calm myself down. I also realize that my body likes doing the baby movements, using my body in ways I haven’t since I was a baby.
— Cathy B., Pocatello, Idaho
“Martha is a wealth of information and experience who was a delight to learn from.”
This course deepened my understanding of how the nervous system can get stuck in a stress response, and how to mindfully get it “unstuck.” Martha is a wealth of information and experience who was a delight to learn from.
— Sarah, Los Angeles, California
“I have become calmer, more energetic, and more aware.”
I have discovered a very different definition of movement. This course has made me much more aware of the positive role movement can have on body and mind. I have become calmer, more energetic, and more aware.
— Erwin Cools-Brecht, Belgium
“The course was excellent both for personal support of understanding stress and reclaiming peace and calm after or during those feelings.”
The course was excellent both for personal support of understanding stress and reclaiming peace and calm after or during those feelings. I have also shared with students a few of the movement practices, explaining the purpose behind them. Very valuable to me as a teacher personally and to students.

More Praise for Dr. Martha Eddy, RSMT…
“In a time when it seems we have little control, having agency over our bodies and our internal world is a kind of power.”
Martha Eddy’s BodyMind Dancing, appropriate for any level or any body, is a delightful, curative way to spend a Monday night. It’s fitting that a key somatic principle, Eddy said, is the idea of slowing down. There are levels, but slowing down to feel isn’t a static act: It’s about shifting to a more internal place. The hope is that you emerge from a somatic class and bring some of that awareness into your everyday life. I know I have. In a time when it seems we have little control, having agency over our bodies and our internal world is a kind of power. By engaging in a somatic experience, you come to realize that these practices are not just about creating flexible bodies, but flexible minds.
— Gia Kourlas, dance critic for The New York Times
“Martha is a genius, and I learn something profound from her every time I am with her.”
Martha is a genius, and I learn something profound from her every time I am with her. Her Dynamic Embodiment system teaches how to engage all the fluid, tissue, organ, skeletal, and energetic structural systems, and BodyMind Dancing applies it to full-bodied dancing. I leave her class feeling fuller, more present, and confident in my movement expression. These are incredible skills for all people to learn in support of their long-term health and personal expression.
