Let’s start way back in the Garden of Eden with the story of Adam and Eve. It’s just one among many core religious myths, but it’s had a significant impact on shaping Western secular culture, and beyond.
Eve was berated for eating the forbidden fruit and then sharing it with Adam... getting them both kicked out of the Garden of Eden.
As the first woman, Eve has long been thought of as the original shameful perpetrator, and this stigma has continued for all women.
If you look at the systems and institutions on which many of our religious and secular Judeo-Christian cultures have been built, the Feminine has been shoved out of the garden, infused with shame and guilt, and controlled by the Masculine.
Fast forward a couple of millennia, and think about how you may have been injured by patriarchal oppression.
Do you have personal experiences of being hurt or held back by a world ruled by the Masculine? Has there been sexual assault or domestic violence in your family, or discrimination at work? Was your grandmother allowed to vote? Have you been harmed by toxic masculinity or felt restricted by the gender binaries of our culture?
How do we move the needle and heal ourselves, our lineages, and the collective from the imbalances of the Masculine and Feminine energies? How do we break out of the dominant patriarchy?
As a student of at least one of Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone’s Shift Network courses, you already know how ancestral healing works to repair intergenerational wounds...
... and now you have the profound opportunity to participate in a 9-week advanced program, in which Rabbi Tirzah will share wisdom about the archetypal patterns of Masculine and Feminine principles, and the sacred opportunity we have in these transformational times to rebalance and correct the grievous patterns that have submerged the Divine Feminine for centuries...
... and guide you to envision a society in which the two are in sacred balanced union — what Kabbalah calls the Mystical Marriage.
It’s important not to confuse the concept of the Masculine with men... nor the Feminine with women. Rather, they are energies, both of which live inside every one of us. And, it’s the imbalance of these energies that’s at the root of much of the oppression and violence that occurs in and still dominates our world — including crimes of rape, domestic violence, trafficking, and forced prostitution.
In this advanced course, you’ll deepen your grasp of Jungian and Kabbalistic wisdom and expand your ancestral healing tools for the purpose of clearing wounds set in motion by the centuries-long systems of patriarchal, racial, and societal oppression, which have caused deep and persistent injury.
And, as you continue to develop your ancestral healing processes, you’ll become more and more equipped to be of service in the world and achieve your sacred purpose... by transforming systems of oppression that keep the Feminine repressed.
Tirzah will show you how to use ancestral healing techniques to look at patriarchal dominance and inequality as it’s played out in your lineage, as it continues to direct much of your own life... and as it shows up in our society.
AND, this course will help you find the ways that you’ve internalized patriarchal values which have diminished your own sense of self — so you, and we, can begin to uproot shame and empower your relationships, so you can shower your family with the gift of compassion — and then spread that freedom out into the world.
Having studied with Tirzah, you’ve been working with ancestral healing teachings and practices based on Jungian and trauma psychology, as well as the ancient mystical wisdom of Kabbalah.
You now have the opportunity to continue to use these life-giving teachings and practices to reshape your internal masculine-feminine balance and pay it forward to your family, community, and the larger world.
This program consists of three triads of three modules each. Every third session within each triad is a ritual lab, in which you’ll experience a wide variety of practices and rituals that will help you build a more potent connection with your well and wise spiritual allies and ancestors.
In the module descriptions below, you’ll discover the breadth of concepts you’ll learn and practice within these labs... all to honor and invite in the wisdom of your ancestors to help you clear the way toward the vibrant wellbeing of your soul and your family.
Join Tirzah to strengthen your tie to the network of ancestral healers dedicated to becoming Agents of Healing for the large-scale shifts our world needs at this time.
In this 9-session transformational intensive, Tirzah will guide you through the fundamental skills you’ll need to engage in the important work of ancestral healing through Kabbalistic wisdom and practices — to balance Masculine and Feminine energies and dismantle patterns of trauma and oppression within yourself, your bloodline, and our cultures at large.
Because of the depth and breadth of information that will be transmitted in this course — and the intensity of the practices — we’ve built three weeks of integration into the schedule of the modules. There will not be class sessions on those weeks. Instead, you’ll be invited to sit and work with all you’ve received in the previous modules, so you’re refreshed and prepared to move forward as the course progresses.
You’ll connect with Tirzah and experience her teachings through live streaming video via any connected device. This connection is easy to use and will enhance the impact of Tirzah’s transmissions. Or you can listen to just the audio by phone.
(Can’t make it live? No worries! After each class, the video and audio recordings will be available for you to download or stream in high-quality format at your convenience.)
This course will feature LIVE teachings, interactive training sessions, experiential practices, and Q&A with Rabbi Tirzah. Each session will build harmoniously upon the previous ones, so you’ll develop a complete holistic understanding of the practices, tools, and principles you’ll need to engage in ancestral healing through the mystical wisdom of Kabbalah — to help dislodge oppressive systems built on Masculine/Feminine imbalances.
In this opening module, Rabbi Tirzah will set the stage for the work of this course by establishing the premises that ancestral healers everywhere share. She’ll define fundamental terms, such as Kabbalah, Self, Entelechy, the Soul’s Code, and Tikkun (our sacred purpose)... and you’ll look at the global issues of our times.
Rabbi Tirzah will clarify the principles of the Masculine and Feminine... and how they exist as energies we all hold — independent of our gender. She’ll also connect the personal, familial, and cultural aspects of trauma.
You’ll examine the original myth of the Garden of Eden, and the narratives we’ve built around that story — which, like a collective dream, still impact our worldview, sense of self, and moral code. Rabbi Tirzah will shed light on Eve’s “sin,” Lilith’s flight, and curses women carry in their “pain body.”
During this first session, you’ll:
In this session, Rabbi Tirzah will illuminate three circuits of energy that exist in our energy systems — the internal Tree of Life, our fire, associated with passion (ש Shin)... our water, associated with compassion (מ Mem)... our air, associated with our connection to Oneness (א Aleph) — all of which correspond to the three pillars of the Tree.
You’ll explore the difference between systems of domination (power over) and systems of partnership (power with.) You’ll begin drawing your Genogram — your multi-generational family tree — to help you understand the power differentials and themes of dominance, submission, harmonious partnership, and compassion in your own family.
Rabbi Tirzah will share how natural it is to internalize the prevailing belief system of dominance as it shows up in the objectification of yourself and others, disconnection from yourself and others... and how easy it is to fall into shame and submission.
In this eye-opening session, you’ll:
In this ritual lab, you’ll build a potent foundation of connection with the well and wise spiritual allies and ancestors, and anchor in these beneficial relationships deeply before moving forward into your trauma history.
Rabbi Tirzah will guide you on a journey into the ancestral realm to invoke your wise and well ancestors and spiritual allies. Honoring them, you’ll invite their wisdom in clearing the way to the health of your soul and your family.
This module will take you deeper into the concept of shame — what it is and how we’ve (especially those of us who identify as women) learned to internalize the constructs of domination.
You’ll focus on ways you personally assimilate the cultural complexity of domination... incorporate it as an identity... and identify with or see yourself through the eyes of the dominant masculine model — objectifying, comparing, and disconnecting from yourself.
You’ll also invite and receive from the deep unconscious alternate visions of yourself so you can experience what it feels like to be free of the onus of shame. You’ll claim your birthright of radiance and power, which will help you fulfill theTikkun that’s yours to do.
In addition, you’ll:
Continuing your exploration of the internalization of patriarchal values and the inherent disconnection and dissociation it causes, you’ll study the Four Hallmarks of Trauma...
... looking at addiction as a symptom of the self-disconnection that results from trauma. You’ll examine the state of hyper-arousal and the cortisol production that happens in that state.
You’ll draw on Kabbalistic teachings about the Feminine, known as Shechinah, who lives right here in the glorious messy multiplicity of our world. Rabbi Tirzah will share the tale of the Lost Princess and the meaning of the Mystical Marriage — the union that takes place when we let go on Sabbath (or Shabbat).
You’ll also study your Genogram for the presence of the gracious Divine Feminine, even as she appears in the midst of heartbreak, suffering, sympathy, and compassion.
During this module, you’ll:
In this ritual lab, you’ll partner with your wise and well ancestors and lineage guardians to help heal the abuses of patriarchal patterns. You’ll invoke the Source of Rachamim (womb-like compassion) and place yourself in the Divine Feminine Presence.
You’ll prepare the bundle of your shame and brokenness to offer on the altar of the ancestral temple. With the assistance of the Source of Compassion, you’ll call upon the Mother Letter of מ Mem, the “liquid heart of the world”... known as the Anima Mundi or Shechinah. You’ll also invite Lilith in as an Elder Grandmother — who comes to empower you to tear out the pathogenic poison root of patriarchal values.
And, you’ll receive a segulah, a talisman treasure to place on your heart, to help you as you continue the work ahead.
In this triad, you’ll widen the lens to explore how the patriarchal belief system and values have impacted our world. You’ll look at the current crises we’re facing in historical context, and study the path of the Tzaddik, the righteous, whole person — also known in the Buddhist tradition as the Bodhisattva.
You’ll study a central Hassidic concept — Yerida l’tzorech Aliya, descent (into the messiness of life) — which belongs to the Tzaddik and anyone who’s committed to be in the world to elevate it for the sake of ascent. This includes your own spiritual ascent as well as the commitment to elevate others, and creation itself.
Tapping into your personal heartbreak, you’ll invite and receive from the deep unconscious an image, form, or other embodiment or portrayal of an aspect of the power complex — which dominates our world — that touches you personally.
Placing it in the forcefield of the elders of your lineage, you’ll ask them about your personal connection to the bundle... and what action is yours to take.
In this session, you’ll discover:
As we approach the end of the Gregorian year, you’ll look back at the salient events of 2021 through the lens of power over and power with... to assist you in harvesting the spiritual lessons of the year. You’ll then turn to the year ahead to begin to build a vessel that can withstand and alchemize the predictable challenges ahead.
Through presencing and guided visualization, you’ll envision yourself in your radiance and soul’s power — interacting more harmoniously in your relationships with others... and acting with more agency in balancing your passion and compassion, your Masculine and Feminine sides, and your shadowy and light sides.
To bring this home, you’ll engage in a fun role-play activity with difficult characters in your life, to rehearse rebalancing power in these relationships.
You’ll:
In this closing module, you’ll receive guidance from your wise and well ancestors and spiritual allies. Ritually honoring and thanking them, you’ll ask for their protection and assistance as you go into the deepest realm of the year.
You’ll be guided to see yourself on your deathbed in the ripeness of your life... wrapped in the Radiant Cloak of your lifetime of good deeds and sincere efforts, reciting your final prayers.
In this visualization, you’ll return to the fabric of your original neshama. You’ll see how your soul looked before you incarnated. You’ll see your own self as a Tzaddik or Bodhisattva who’s always been committed to healing and love.
You’ll see yourself having fulfilled your tasks, your sacred purposes or Tikkunim for which you came into the world. As a wise and well ancestor yourself, you’ll prepare to take your leave of the world and continue the work of balancing Masculine and Feminine energies... healing the traumas that result from patriarchal imbalances... being a servant of the Tzorach Gavoha — the divine dream of planetary harmony and wholeness.
Finally you’ll come together with your co-participants to say your goodbyes, offer your appreciations, and wish one another blessings for the Solstice.
In addition to Rabbi Tirzah’s transformative 9-week virtual course, you’ll receive these special bonuses with leading visionaries and teachers to complement the course and take your understanding and practice to an even deeper level.

In this talk, hosted by The Shift Network’s Lisa Bonnice, Langston Kahn will explore how to engage with the wisdom and symbolic language of and deepen your relationship to your ancestors to align with your passion and purpose. Langston shares how working through ancestral grief, especially in these times of immense global change, can restore your connection with your deepest desires, while also illuminating the path forward on how to manifest them into the world.
In this three-part video teaching from Rabbi David Ingber, you’ll explore how many mystical lineages and the sacred union of masculine and feminine are at the very heart of reality — and learn specific practices and a sacred language to embolden your path to wholeness. Kabbalah, and its archetypal images and stories, builds upon the core notion of opposing energies and wholeness, creating something akin to Western Tantra. The very fabric of reality will be revealed to you by the higher union of masculine and feminine in a dance of polarities rather than the war of opposites.
This video teaching excerpt from The Shift Network course, Dreaming Yourself Awake, by spiritual emergence pioneer, teacher, and author Paul Levy, will explore the creative source within you and its gifts through dreamwork — how your nighttime dreams and symbols therein are a template for understanding the nature of your waking dream. You’ll discover how a dream, like the universe, is a continually unfolding revelation... an oracle that’s always speaking to you with symbols.
In these deeply heartfelt and transformative guided meditations, Guided Meditation for Awakening the Divine Feminine and Into the Arms of the Mother (featuring music from Jenny Bird), Mirabai leads you with her soothing voice into a peaceful calm that can be accessed anytime.

My experience of The Shift Network course with Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone was very profound and really helped process some of the deep trauma that I inherited as a child of Holocaust survivors. I particularly valued the way she linked the program to the Kabbalah as a way to facilitate the healing process. She is a truly great spiritual teacher and healer.

Through the experiential sessions guided by Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone, I have gotten deep insights into intergenerational issues, and begun to heal things that didn’t shift through other methods. I feel a level of connection to my family that I couldn’t have imagined and feel that I am contributing to my family’s wellbeing and future in a unique and highly valuable way.

Practicing meditation has felt for years and years like something I should do. This course has taught me about the Center Sefirot, as well as connection to my ancestors. Because of this, I now have a beautiful morning routine that opens me to my soul and guides me throughout the day. I no longer feel like meditation is a chore. I love sitting with my ancestors and creating a loving heart for the day ahead.

This course surpassed anything I expected! Tirzah’s content and pace are stellar. She knows when to take a breath or drink, to pause and get in tune with our bodies and feelings. The experiential ancestral work yields deep change and new understandings, which we journal about to solidify and reify what we experienced. My study buddies and the online community forum expanded my personal sphere, so that both intimate relational and conceptual connections blossomed! I can’t say enough about the extent of transformation that resulted in these weeks, and it continues. Thank you to Tirzah and her capable empathetic assistants!
— Karen, Austin, Texas
After not seeing my dad for three years (his choice), he flew up to see us. A man I could not be in a room with for ten minutes without fighting with spent four days coming to see us every day and there was not one raised voice, no fights, no arguments. I know all my Shift Network courses have helped me get here: Andrew Harvey, Sacred Activism, Mirabai Starr, and Rabbi Tirzah’s teachings about unwell ancestors all just allowed me to be Teflon. I kept my dignity, boundaries, and just came from love. Thank you. It was pretty amazing, coming from my heart and not judging how I was perceived — feels like such a huge shift. My classes all seem to click, to make a space for healing within to happen, which allows healing with others to happen. Even if it wasn’t what I’d hoped for.
— Rowyn Capers, Lawrenceville, New Jersey
The technique of creating sacred space, going into the imaginal realm, and laying down a fraught situation in a bundle in front of a long line of ancestors and saying, “I don’t want to carry this anymore; please help me” was very powerful and released a lot of tension in me.
