Call on your ancestors to help you clear anxiety, depression, and stuckness passed down through generations — for greater resilience and the freedom to live your soul’s purpose.

Take a few moments to reflect on the lives of your ancestors, and the kind of experiences they lived through over the generations…

… their adventures, accomplishments, life changes — even the traumatic events they experienced...

How much do you really know about them?

And, are there things in your own life — behaviors, physical health, emotional wellbeing, patterns, or experiences — that seem like they may have been passed down from those who came before you?

Maybe you have a sense of heaviness as a result of something in the history of your family of origin — a weight that keeps you stuck, anxious, uncertain, or lacking direction...

Did you know that the experiences of your ancestors, including the traumas they endured, can be passed on from generation to generation, leaving imprints on those who come after them — including YOU.

And many of us carry our ancestors' traumas — along with our own — in our bodies, hearts, minds, and spirits... even if we’re not aware of it.

The unresolved traumas we hold can manifest as all manner of ailments, including depression, anxiety, somatic and physiological disorders, and more.

Ancestral trauma can also present as a disconnection from our life purpose, social and psycho-spiritual isolation, a feeling that we lack belonging, and alienation from our biological family.

Ultimately, historical trauma may be preventing you from healing, thriving, and living the life of your deepest desires.

It’s time to explore how the trauma you carry with you is impacting your life...

With compassionate guidance, your ancestors can help you release the historical trauma of your lineage, enabling you to contribute to the collective healing of our world.

When you learn how to enlist your well ancestors’ wisdom to release and free yourself of this historical trauma, you can increase your resilience and hear the calling of your soul’s purpose.

In this deeply transformative 7-step journey with author, Jungian psychotherapist, and founding rabbi of Congregation Nevei Kodesh, Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone, you’ll discover a beautifully curated array of practices, processes, meditations, and body-mind connection techniques to help you identify your family’s trauma legacies.

You’ll recognize how your behavior, physical health, and emotional wellbeing have been affected by your own traumas and the traumas that your ancestors endured.

And, you’ll begin to clear and transform the resulting reverberations so you can live a more peaceful and beautiful life.

During this intimate journey, you’ll:

  • Discover how to identify your family’s trauma legacies, and how your behavior, physical health, and emotional wellbeing have been affected by your own and intergenerational trauma
  • Understand what intergenerational healing has to do with your soul’s journey
  • Learn the 7 principles of ancestral trauma healing
  • Begin to understand how trauma works, with compassion and without judgement
  • Understand that you came here with YOUR unique sacred purpose... and discover how to find and align with it
  • Learn to tap into the ancestral plane to call on and enlist your ancestors to help you heal your trauma — and theirs
  • Receive the practice of “Active Imagination”

  • Explore the neuroscience of self-awareness, self-witnessing, and mindfulness — and how it supports the healing of these unconscious patterns
  • Discover how you can survive extreme trauma — and be changed in radically positive ways

It’s crucial, at this moment in history, to understand that your unhealed ancestral legacies and family traumas bear a direct correspondence to the burgeoning social schisms in our world today.

When you heal the historical trauma within your bloodline, an inner revolution occurs — your heart and mind are freed and energized to courageously and powerfully show up for yourself...

... and radiate your newfound light as a beacon for hope and healing for others.

In Find Healing & Resilience in Ancestral Wisdom, you’ll learn how to explore and harvest the rich resources of your ancestors — as you undo your family’s traumatic tangles.

Tirzah will take you on a journey to deepen your spiritual work, while expanding your influence in the world from a place of personal awareness and agency.

You’ll be immersed in experiential exercises to help you unlock seemingly impenetrable personal issues — caused by the energy of trauma — and illuminate their connection to your ancestral history and the current chaos of our world.

And, you’ll discover tools to help you meet your soul chain — a pod of souls who’ve intentionally decided to be here at this time and place to effect a particular change on the planet.

What makes Tirzah’s approach so effective is the multidisciplinary, experiential tools she draws on to support your transformation.

You’ll work with your dreams and Jungian psychology... create Genograms, which are "maps" to discover and track the patterns in your inherited legacy... delve deep into the seven principles of ancestral trauma healing... and explore the neuroscientific research around intergenerational trauma.

You’ll engage in practices of Active Imagination... meditations rooted in the ancient teaching of the Kabbalah... Heart Coherence processes... and journaling...

... all of which were designed to open your heart, find forgiveness for yourself and others, and lead from a place of compassion and sovereignty.

You’ll experience a felt sense that you can survive and transmute extreme trauma, let go of the victim mentality, and emerge radically empowered.

What You’ll Discover in These 7 Modules

In this 7-part transformational intensive, Tirzah will guide you through a unique and original blend of depth psychology; meditative practices; embodied, somatic healing modalities; storytelling; and scientific research — to free yourself of the inherited trauma of your lineage so you can hear the calling of your sacred purpose and bring healing to our planet.

This course will feature teachings, training sessions, and experiential practices with Tirzah. Each session will build harmoniously upon the previous ones, so you’ll develop a complete holistic understanding of the practices, tools, and principles you’ll need to start to heal your inherited trauma and experience your soul’s calling.

Module 1: Journey of the Soul — Why You’re in This Life at This Time (March 30)

What is the soul? What am I here for? In this opening session, you’ll begin to develop an understanding of the soul and how its evolution leads you to become the person you were born to be — with the sacred purpose you’re here to fulfill. Tirzah will engage you in discussion and illustrate how the guidance you receive from your unconscious keeps you on your path.

In this module, you’ll discover:

  • What intergenerational healing has to do with your soul’s journey
  • Why ancestral healing is so critical now to your wellbeing and the health of the planet
  • How dreams, physical symptoms, and other messages from inside and around you help keep you on the path of your sacred purpose
  • Henri Corbin’s imaginal realm — a bridge to the unconscious — which you can use to access guidance
  • The practice of “Active Imagination”

Module 2: The Family Constellation — What Your Soul Family Came to Accomplish (April 6)

Why is family so important? Who is my real family and where do I belong? In this second class, you’ll explore what it means to be part of a “soul chain” — a pod of souls who’ve intentionally decided to be here at this time and place to effect particular changes and innovations in the collective consciousness of the planet.

In this module, you’ll discover:

  • How your soul is implanted in a particular family with its own particular resources and ruptures
  • What sacred purpose your soul family is here to help you fulfill
  • Your bloodlines, which are often but not always the family you grew up with
  • How to unpack both genetic and epigenetic patterns within your family... so you can harvest their riches and transform their traumas
  • A guided meditation to connect you with your soul chain and your wise and well ancestor and spirit guides

Module 3: Mapping Your Legacy — Building Genograms to See Multigenerational Family Patterns (April 13)

What resources can you draw on, both genetically and spiritually? In this class session, you’ll begin to build your intergenerational family maps, or Genograms, to reveal the multigenerational family patterns — medical, behavioral, psycho-emotional, and relational — including both the ruptures and riches that influence you and your children. This is an intensive project that continues throughout the remainder of the course.

In this module, you’ll discover:

  • A guided Active Imagination process to meet a well and wise ancestor and access their spiritual guidance
  • How your ancestors can energize you in your spiritual work around your family legacies
  • The historical traumas in your past and your lineage that beg to be healed

Module 4: Unpacking Trauma & Its Transmission From Generation to Generation (April 20)

What are the personal and cultural traumas you’ve experienced or inherited? How do you identify trauma in yourself and in others? In this class session, Tirzah will guide you to redefine trauma, as she offers a neuroscientific approach to studying the four hallmarks of trauma and how they influence both individuals and entire ethnicities. Although the four hallmarks of trauma are life-saving mechanisms, if they aren't monitored, they can become the very systems that lock trauma into place.

In this module, you’ll discover:

  • Remarkable stories of trauma transmission and how trauma not only “lands” in subsequent generations, it can also be healed by them
  • The process of referring to your family maps and journaling about the trauma hallmarks
  • Heartmath tools for self-regulation, as well as affirmations for the cultivation of self-compassion

Module 5: Women & Intergenerational Trauma Legacies — Releasing the Shame of Historical Trauma (April 27)

How do the hallmarks of trauma show up for women? Can the historical traumas engendered by centuries of patriarchal domination be healed? In this class, you’ll conclude your study of trauma’s hallmarks with a powerful discussion around shame. You’ll learn about the tendency to unconsciously recreate past conditions that ensure injury — leading to trauma cycles that are hard to break.

In this module, you’ll discover:

  • The neuroscience of self-awareness, self-witnessing, and mindfulness — and how it supports the healing of these unconscious patterns
  • The healing power of being witnessed and seen through eyes of compassion
  • A Heartmath quick coherence technique
  • The Hawaiian waterfall cleansing breath practice

Module 6: The 7 Principles of Healing — Stories of Healing From Extreme Collective Trauma (May 4)

Is it possible to transform the effects of personal and historical trauma? To survive life’s heavy blows with more wisdom and a sense of inner freedom? In this class session, Tirzah will share her research from around the world... stories of heroic people who defied normative trauma responses such as hate, vengeance, or being paralyzed by fear. The common themes that arose from these stories are distilled in seven healing principles.

In this module, you’ll discover:

  • What the 7 principles are so you can journal about them and discuss them with the group
  • Key elements that demonstrate how you can survive extreme trauma and be changed in radically positive ways
  • Seven directives for staying morally grounded in this unpredictable world

Module 7: Wrapping Up a Sacred Bundle — Tools, Practices & Inspiration to Metabolize Your Legacy (May 11)

In this final class, you’ll examine the family resources and trauma legacies you inherited... as well as the tools, practices, and inspiration to metabolize your legacy. In a final meditation, you’ll be guided to call in your ancestral allies to help you see your future, further developed, whole, and healed self — to help you project what it might feel like to have metabolized personal and societal injuries and converted them into wisdom you can use to serve the world.

In this module, you’ll:

  • Review how the tools and teachings from this course will help you on your soul’s journey
  • Be guided in a final meditation to enlist the help of your well and wise ancestors
  • Participate in journaling exercises and a final closing prayer

During this helpful session, you’ll discover:

  • How to identify the patterns of trauma and richness that have been laid down by earlier family members and ancestors — and how to understand their effects upon your own life
  • Ways you can make contact with well, benevolent, and helpful allies and ancestors to open new pathways for increasing creativity, health, and spiritual evolution
  • The ways you can find keys to open doors to set you free from unconscious compulsions caused by earlier traumas, sexual assaults, injustices, or family separations

About Tirzah Firestone

Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone, PhD, is an author, Jungian psychotherapist, and founding rabbi of Congregation Nevei Kodesh in Boulder, Colorado. Ordained by Rabbi Zalman Schachter Shalomi in 1992, she is a leader in the international Jewish Renewal Movement and a renowned Jewish scholar and teacher.

Raised in an Orthodox home in St. Louis, Missouri, Tirzah’s spiritual curiosity called her to search beyond the confines of her family’s strict Jewish upbringing. She left home to embark on a life-changing spiritual odyssey, chronicled in With Roots In Heaven: One Woman’s Passionate Journey into the Heart of Her Faith.

Tirzah’s passion to share an inclusive and joyous Judaism, as well as her dedication to human rights, led her to serve as a leader in the international movement for Jewish Renewal.

Tirzah earned a doctorate in depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California in 2015. Her leading-edge research on the impact and healing of collective trauma draws on the fields of neuroscience, psychology, Jewish literature, and mythopoesis. And her groundbreaking work, Wounds Into Wisdom: Healing Intergenerational Trauma, employs interviews, case studies, and her own autobiographical narratives to demonstrate how trauma residue passes from generation to generation and how it can be transformed.

Now Rabbi Emerita of her congregation, Tirzah maintains a private practice in depth psychology, and teaches nationally about modern applications of ancient wisdom and ancestral healing: how to transform patterns of suffering from our past and bring forth clarity, wisdom, and blessings for ourselves and those who come after us.

Tirzah lives in the foothills of Colorado with her husband David. Their grown children live around the country.
