Adapting to change involves orienting yourself towards a sense of safety in the here and now.
—Dr. Arielle Schwartz

If you’re walking a healing path — or supporting others on theirs — you’ve experienced for yourself that real transformation happens when we feel physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually safe.
This requires nervous system regulation and a deep understanding of why our healthcare paradigms must be multidimensional. Yet, most of us were never taught such things.
Internationally respected psychologist Dr. Arielle Schwartz, a certified complex trauma professional, has created a holistic healing system that expertly delivers this knowledge.
Blending neuroscience with spiritual inquiry, embodied movement, and trauma-informed care, Dr. Schwartz offers an integrative path toward nervous system resilience and empowered self-regulation.
This path, grounded in both modern neuroscience and ancient wisdom, instills a tangible experience of safety and inspires greater clarity, vitality, emotional balance, and spiritual alignment.
And, it honors the intelligence of your body and the truth of your lived experience — opening the way for deep emotional healing, greater self-trust, and a more empowered, spiritually aligned life.
You’ll learn every step of Dr. Schwartz’s groundbreaking approach to healing during this 6-month immersion for nervous system regulation that bridges science and soul, personal growth, and professional mastery — through trauma-informed somatic practices, breathwork, polyvagal tools, and parts work therapy.
As a Kripalu yoga teacher and founder of the Center for Resilience Informed Therapy®, Dr. Schwartz provides a rare integration of modalities including somatic psychology, EMDR, relational therapy, Internal Family Systems, and therapeutic yoga for trauma.
A specialist in applied polyvagal theory, she teaches how to address imbalances in the autonomic nervous system — a core root of many emotional and physical health challenges.
Under her expert guidance, you’ll move through the full arc of trauma recovery — from survival to resilience, fragmentation to integration, and pain to post-traumatic growth (PTG).
You’ll be held in a safe, structured, and relationally attuned community led by one of the most trusted voices in the field of embodied trauma healing.
Throughout the immersion, you’ll also learn from esteemed guest faculty in the fields of personal healing, embodiment, ancestral healing, and somatic integration — including Andie Bernard, C.J. Llewelyn, Manuela Mischke-Reeds, Stacy Ruse, Dr. Ilene Naomi Rusk, and Christine Wushke — each bringing their unique wisdom around trauma to deepen and expand your transformational journey.
You’ll walk away feeling more calm, connected, and whole — equipped with powerful tools you can share with clients, students, or loved ones.
The Nervous System Health & Restoration training is designed for healing professionals and spiritual seekers who are ready to engage in profound healing and self-regulation at an embodied level — and are eager to help others do the same, including individuals living with PTSD or the lingering effects of trauma.
Whether you’re working through personal or developmental trauma, navigating nervous system dysregulation, feeling disconnected from your purpose, or seeking to fully embody your potential, this immersive experience will support you in reclaiming your health, stability, voice, boundaries, and inner gifts.

Finally, the course I have been waiting for, the culmination of decades of work, study, and growth in the understanding and treatment of complex trauma. Arielle is a master teacher, bringing state-of-the-art knowledge and skills together with deep caring and compassion. I especially appreciate her approach to ancestral work. At this stage of my life as Crone, The Shift Network continues to enrich my journey. Many thanks and blessings.
Patricia, Boulder, Colorado
There were many insights gained from Arielle and this program, though the most helpful is having a proven and easy-to-understand post-traumatic growth framework, including specific healing practices I can use with myself and my clients navigating grief and loss.
Kimberley Fieldbrook, California
This course was a real blessing. I experienced many shifts, I felt safe, and I allowed myself to be vulnerable. Arielle is a gifted teacher and such an insightful person. I have gone from super hypervigilance to being calm, confident, and curious. Lynn Gloucester, Massachusetts
Arielle is a diamond. I have been fortunate to have been consulting and doing her trainings for years. Her authenticity, compassion, knowledge, and wisdom have inspired and guided me to be the best version of myself in my work and beyond. Her integrative and holistic approach has taken my clients towards deep body, mind, soul, and heart healing.
Stacy Ruse, LPC
I cannot say enough about the impact of Arielle’s teaching and consultation on my work as a therapist. Arielle brings an incredible breadth of knowledge surrounding trauma healing, EMDR, the nervous system, parts work (and more) — and applies it in a clear, embodied, and relational manner. Learning from Arielle has supported me in becoming a confident, effective, and resilient therapist.

Unit 1 includes a variety of guided sessions that form a comprehensive path for cultivating inner regulation and whole-body harmony, laying the foundation for trauma-informed nervous system care by introducing key practices that enhance vagal tone — often referred to as neuromodulation.
Through gentle, self-applied techniques and embodied yoga practices, you’ll learn to sit in the driver’s seat of your nervous system and restore balance to the autonomic system.
You’ll learn how stimulating the vagus nerve through breath, posture, fascia work, and heart-centered practices can reduce the impacts of chronic stress, trauma, and pain. Through a blend of neuroscience, somatics, and ancient wisdom, you’ll discover how vagal toning supports cardiovascular health, emotional resilience, and overall vitality.
Unit 1 Guest Faculty: C.J. Llewelyn, M.Ed., LPC and Dr. Ilene Naomi Rusk
In this unit, you’ll:
Unit 2 deepens the healing journey by guiding you into a fuller, whole-body experience through somatic movement and embodied practices. Moving beyond seated exercises, you’ll engage in grounding, voice-activation, boundary setting, and emotional release as ways to reconnect with the body and awaken the true self.
The arc of transformation continues with increased nervous system capacity, allowing you to meet stored tension and past pain with compassion, curiosity, and resilience. Through yoga-based movement, developmental practices, poetry, and spiritual inquiry, you’ll explore embodiment as a sacred path — awakening purpose, intentionality, and inner freedom.
Unit 2 Guest Faculty: Manuela Mischke-Reeds, MA, MFT and Christine Wushke
In this unit, you’ll:
In Unit 3, you’ll explore how early attachment patterns shape your inner world and relationships. Through somatic and psychological practices, you’ll uncover the roots of your behaviors, beliefs, and inner conflicts — building clarity, self-compassion, and the ability to form secure connections.
You’ll learn how to work with the inner critic, regulate your nervous system, and recognize the ripple effects of personal, generational, and collective trauma.
Practices include Internal Family Systems (parts work), embodied self-compassion, ancestral resilience, and healing rituals to release inherited pain and strengthen self-agency.
This is a journey of reconnection — restoring the bonds between your past and present self, your body and spirit, your ancestors and your future.
Unit 3 Guest Faculty: Andie Bernard, LPCC-S, NCC and Stacy Ruse, LPC
In this unit, you’ll learn to:
In this final unit, you’ll integrate the inner work you’ve done throughout the course and explore how to bring your healing into embodied action. The arc of trauma recovery opens into post-traumatic growth (PTG) — the capacity to emerge from suffering with a deeper sense of purpose, strength, and aliveness.
You’ll reflect on how your relationship to yourself, others, and the world has shifted through practices like journaling on post-traumatic growth and identifying the values that now guide you.
You’ll revisit your hero/heroine’s journey and engage in “The Pearl Dive,” a guided reflection to help you recognize the inner treasures you’ve uncovered through this deep work. You’ll also learn to revise limiting personal narratives and reframe your story in ways that affirm your resilience and transformation.
As you begin to embody these insights, you’ll craft and share a personal mission statement — naming the gifts you’re ready to bring into the world and stepping forward with clarity, courage, and purpose.
Unit 4 Guest Faculty: Josie Dove
In this unit, you’ll learn to:
– Teri McGovern-Nintzel: “I’m Just So Grateful That I Now Feel More Rooted in Myself”
– Tracy Polous: “Dr. Schwartz’s Comforting Spirit Gave Me the Courage to Raise My Hand”
— Karman Lippitt: “Arielle Has Given Me Tools to Support Myself Through Some Very Emotionally Difficult Moments”
