You’ve felt them — dreams that leave a mysterious imprint long after morning comes. You’ve glimpsed other worlds beyond this one, other versions of yourself, messages hidden in symbols, and encounters that seem to arrive from beyond time.
Maybe you’ve experienced déjà vu so vivid it felt like a memory, or a dream that predicted reality. Maybe you’ve felt in contact with a lost loved one, through a dream, a sign, a knowing.
If any of this rings true, you already speak the language of the soul — and those glimpses are proof that your deeper self is already dreaming you toward something greater.
They’re invitations to the further reaches of a path that leads to profound healing, clarity, purpose, and connection.
In times like these — when the world feels chaotic and the future a bit uncertain — your dreams are sanctuaries, shares bestselling author and creator of Active Dreaming Robert Moss, and one of Shift’s most popular instructors.
Dreams are compasses, portals, and hidden maps inked with messages from your soul, ancestors, guides, and greater self. Dreams can help you move through a conflicted world with deeper awareness and connection. They can reveal the bigger story of which your life has always been a part.
Robert is a pioneer of modern dreamwork. He weaves deep scholarship with personal experience, drawing from many years of leading dream circles around the world and a lifetime of extraordinary encounters in the dream realms.
To study with Robert is to enter a field of wisdom, magic, and depth that opens doors to worlds within and beyond — he teaches you how to bring back gifts from the dream world that truly change your waking life.
Robert’s Active Dreaming is a synthesis of ancient shamanic dreaming, modern dreamwork, and intentional imagination. Dreams require far more than analysis.
Robert teaches us how to enter the dreamworlds wide awake and conscious, to find healing, resolution and adventure — and to bring guidance and energy from a deeper reality into embodied life.
He shows us how to walk and talk our dreams, and navigate the dream of waking life. He inspires us to find and follow our bigger and braver stories and tell them so well they want to take root in the world.
Join Robert for his revelatory 18-week advanced course — his most far-reaching dream odyssey yet — designed to expand your dreaming practice beyond anything you’ve experienced before.
It can deepen your connection with soul and spirit, and guide you across time, space, and parallel realities to reclaim the wisdom, healing, and magic that’s been waiting for you.
This course brings together teachings, stories, and practices that Robert has never before woven into a single journey — offering you access to the most radical and advanced dimensions of Active Dreaming.
In the first nine weeks of the course, you’ll build your foundation in Active Dreaming and step into the multiverse with tools to navigate it with clarity, confidence, and wonder.
Learn to recognize the bigger story your soul is revealing — and how your dreams guide you there. Through dream re-entry, you’ll revisit meaningful dreams as conscious journeys, asking questions, receiving healing, and even changing outcomes.
Discover how your personal dreams may also be transpersonal — connected to the dreams of others, the collective unconscious, and the wider world.
You’ll explore hypnagogia, the twilight state between waking and sleep, as a powerful launchpad for lucid dreaming, creative insight, and communication with inner guides.
This “Tinker Bell” zone becomes a daily practice ground for heightened awareness and subtle magic — teaching you how to rest in liminal space while remaining conscious and receptive.
As you develop this inner awareness, you’ll also become more attuned to the world around you. Robert will guide you to become a kairomancer — one who is poised to recognize and act in special moments when synchronicity strikes.
You’ll learn to walk through life with your inner radar on, noticing signs, symbols, and subtle clues that help you make better decisions and find your way, even when the way seems to be lost.
You’ll experiment with mutual dreaming — entering shared dreamscapes with partners or groups — and learn to practice dream transfer, the sacred art of growing healing dreams for others.
Journey to younger versions of yourself who can offer support, help you reclaim lost energy, and heal soul fractures at their root. You’ll even explore the reality of parallel lives, gaining wisdom and strength from selves who made different choices, and now offer you perspectives you couldn’t have accessed otherwise.
Robert will give you a complete toolkit for living in active conversation with your dreams — and walking the waking world as a conscious dreamer.
You’ll feel more guided, more grounded, and empowered to navigate change, uncertainty, and opportunity from a place of deep inner knowing.
In the second half of the course, the journey deepens as you enter the dream schools of masters and mystics across time and tradition. Learn secrets of ancient dream shamans, including how dreams reveal the secret wishes of the soul, open doors to real worlds beyond the physical, and road maps into the future.
Journey into the astral dream temples of ancient Egypt with the seer and novelist Joan Grant, discovering methods of remote viewing, past life recall, and dream-based healing.
Walk beside Harriet Tubman, whose prophetic dreams helped guide people to freedom, and learn how to use your own dreaming gifts in service of liberation — personal and collective.
Study the poetic dreamwork of W.B. Yeats, learning how to engage in mutual visioning, symbol sending, and shared dreaming rooted in the Celtic soul. Meet Carl Jung and navigate the many levels of the House of Your Life, where dreams, synchronicity, shadow, and archetypes converge.
You’ll awaken to your Oversoul, as taught by Seth and Jane Roberts, and explore how dreaming prepares you for death — and for a more conscious life.
By the end of this next-level course, you’ll have become a dream traveler, healer, mythmaker, and guide. You’ll know how to use dreaming as a tool for insight, restoration, creativity, connection, and spiritual growth.
You’ll understand how to navigate the multiverse — and how to bring back gifts that make a tangible difference in your everyday life.
And most importantly, you’ll trust yourself as a dreamer, cultivating a living relationship with your inner guidance, ancestral wisdom, and the bigger story that’s been waiting for you all along.
Whether you’re moving through a personal transition, seeking clarity about your calling, grieving a loss, or simply wanting to feel more deeply alive — this course will give you the tools, maps, companions, and confidence to walk the path between worlds with intention and power, forever changing how you see your life and the world around you.
You’ve felt the call of your dreams for a while now.
Now it’s time to say “yes.”
The portal is open. The time is now. Let’s dream.
In this 18-week transformational course, Robert will guide you to use dreaming as a powerful portal for healing, guidance, and connection across time, space, and parallel realities.
You’ll connect with Robert and experience his teachings through livestreaming video via any connected device. This connection is easy to use and will enhance the impact of Robert’s transmissions. Can’t make it live? After each class, you can stream the video and audio recordings to enjoy anytime and anywhere at your convenience.
This course will feature LIVE teachings, interactive sessions, experiential practices, and Q&A with Robert. Each session will build harmoniously upon the previous ones, so you’ll come away with lifelong tools to access deeper meaning, navigate life transitions, and bring real magic into your everyday reality.
If you have not experienced Robert’s teachings before, you’re welcome to join this next-level course — but we ask that you complete the foundational 7-module The Power of Active Dreaming program on your own as a prerequisite. It will be included in your registration and can be completed before or in tandem with this advanced intensive.
In challenging times, your dreams can be a sanctuary — a safe way to travel without leaving home, a navigational system that can get you over the bumps, a source of deeper friendships and relationships, a point of contact with authentic spiritual guides and a way to reclaim vital energy and remember your soul’s purpose.
Three things to know about dreaming:
Bring your dreams, desires, needs, and curiosity to share with a caring and compassionate community of soul voyagers.
In this module, you’ll:
Tinker Bell told Peter Pan, “Look for me in the place between sleep and awake. There you will always find me.” It’s no fairy story.
In the history of science, as in many other fields, the liminal state of hypnagogia has been the solution state in which creative breakthroughs are made and inner guides are easily accessible.
This is an ideal launch pad for lucid dreaming and astral travel.
It is recognized in dream yoga, as in the Mystery traditions, that by learning to maintain a state of relaxed attention on the cusp of sleep, we develop heightened awareness and the ability to operate in more than one reality simultaneously.
In this module, you’ll:
Robert coined the word “kairomancer” to describe someone who is able to recognize the special moments when synchronicity is at work — and to seize on the revelation or opportunity that is now available.
To be a kairomancer, you must be open to new experiences, willing to set aside plans, grateful for secret handshakes and surprises, and ready to honor your special moments of revelation by taking appropriate action.
Walk your environment with the right kind of awareness, and notice that the world is constantly giving you messages in the form of signs and symbols. You can play fun games any day by receiving these messages — the vanity plate on that car, an overheard snatch of conversation from a stranger, a chance encounter — as tarot cards being dealt to you by the world. A tarot deck has 78 cards. In Sidewalk Tarot, the number is unlimited.
In this module, you’ll:
The easiest way to embark on a lucid dream adventure is to start out conscious and stay that way. You can do this through dream reentry and by spending more conscious time in the twilight zone of hypnagogia, as you learned from Tinker Bell.
A dream, lucid or not, may be an out-of- the-body experience in which you wander in a subtle body, often called the astral body.
In most of not all Indigenous cultures, the experience of journeying outside the body is regarded as entirely natural and even routine. It’s what you do when you have interesting dreams. Strong dreamers do it whenever they feel like it.
Enter another real lifeworld, where actions have consequences and can change things in the ordinary world. It’s less important to be able to tell yourself “I’m dreaming” than to be able to come and go at will — and above all choose your course of behavior, wherever you find yourself.
Gain clarity and self-awareness in your dream excursions even as your dreams become more complex and layered. You may find your dreams are nested one inside another. The Cahuilla dream shaman Ruby Modesto claimed she once dreamed her way through thirteen levels of dreaming.
You may find you have the ability to bilocate — to be in two (or more) places simultaneously — and also monitor what you are doing, as actor or observer, from a higher witness perspective.
In this module, you’ll:
In most religions and many philosophies, it’s agreed that between humans and the One — the God beyond the many masks — there is a panoply of Zwischenwesen or intermediary beings, deities and demigods, daimons and jinn, ancestors, and nature spirits.
Dion Fortune, high priestess of a great Western Mystery Order, defined seven kinds of “inhabitants of the unseen.” Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, the fifth-century author of The Celestial Hierarchy, gave us three triads of angelic beings.
Today, dreaming is still a field of interaction with in-betweeners, who sometimes appear in traditional garb and sometimes in camouflage.
The Greeks say the gods love to travel in disguise, and it seems there is a cosmic costume department for superior spirits.
In this module, you’ll:
You are a time traveler in your dreams.
Past, future, and parallel times are open to you. As an active dreamer, you can make intentional journeys in any direction you choose. You can journey to a younger self in her own time.
When you reach a younger self through the window of a dream, you may be able to reclaim vital energy from her and from a time when something went bad in your life.
You may also be able to support her, in mind and spirit, in that difficult time when she desperately needed a mentor and protector. From this can flow tremendous healing for both of you — for you in your present time and for her in her own time.
When you visit a younger self as an active dreamer you can also seize the opportunity to bring her gifts and her energy into your present life.
In this module, you’ll:
We can bring a dream to someone who needs one — a healing image, a vision of life possibility, even a road map to the afterlife. We can help them to step out of a tired, self-limiting story into a braver and bigger one.
We can share one of our own dreams of power, adapting its content for their circumstances, and invite them to receive any part they can use and discard the rest.
We can draw from our life experiences and those of others, and from literature and movies.
Robert shares a breathtaking example of the magic this kind of imaginal healing worked in Aldous Huxley’s last novel, Island, and guides us on a conscious dream journey to a place in the imaginal realm to find a dream that you — and those you are called to help — may need today.
In this module, you’ll:
According to the Many Worlds hypothesis in physics, whenever we come to a fork in our life road, our universe splits. We go forward on the chosen road, but that’s not the whole story.
A parallel self, in a parallel world, follows the road not taken in this world. You are usually clueless about this until you start remembering dreams that are glimpses of continuous lives you are living somewhere else.
Physicist Brian Greene speculates that we all have “endless doppelgangers” leading parallel lives in parallel universes. As an active dreamer, explore this experientially — and learn how to bring gifts and lessons from a parallel world into this one.
Through these excursions, grow a personal geography of the multiverse and accumulate first-hand data on the reality of parallel worlds. The explorations you are guided to make may rise to the level of Alternate Reality Therapy.
In this module, you’ll:
Marija Gimbutas declared with urgent clarity in The Civilization of the Goddess: “We must refocus our collective memory. The necessity of this has never been greater as we discover that the path of ‘progress’ is extinguishing the very conditions for life on earth.”
Robert has pioneered a new discipline — dream archaeology — which provides powerful tools for refocusing collective memory and facilitating cultural soul recovery. The dream archaeologist melds the arts and skills of the shamanic dreamer, the scholar, and the detective.
Dreams guide you to the necessary past, to the history you need to know and use. Dreams may also trigger and direct specific lines of research.
In dreaming, you have direct access to the realm of the ancestors. You can choose to reach them through Active Dreaming.
In this module, you’ll:
Robert’s life was changed by his visionary encounters with the ancient Mohawk shaman and Mother of the Wolf Clan he calls Island Woman. In the Mohawk language, the word for shaman or healer is ratetshents, which means “dreamer.”
In her tradition, dreams reveal the “secret wishes of the soul.” The daily task of the community is to gather around a dreamer to help her recognize what the soul is saying and take action to honor the soul’s purpose.
For the Iroquois or Haudenosaunee, dreaming is also about human survival. Dreams show us what is happening at a distance in time or space. Iroquois dreamers were skilled at scouting the future with the help of their animal and bird allies and developed a distinctive practice for changing the possible future for the better.
Dreaming is a way of connecting with the ancestors and of looking at the consequences of human actions, down to the seventh generation beyond ourselves, as the Iroquois insist that wise leaders must always do.
In this module, you’ll:
When the world fell into the Dark Times and people started living with wild pigs and anacondas, forgetting they had any higher purpose, a dreamer made a perilous journey of ascension — dropping his astral body after he left his physical body to gain knowledge and help from higher powers.
He was able to call souls of his people back into their bodies and help them remember what it means to live as a decent human being. We’ll borrow from the origin story and interdimensional maps of the Makiritare (or Yekuana), a dreaming people of Venezuela.
They recount the Otherworldly journey of Medatia, the first dream shaman, who ended the Dark Time by gaining the spiritual power to bring home souls trapped in illusory realities.
He traveled to seven worlds beyond this one and brought skills and insight from all of them.
In this module, you’ll:
You have direct access to sacred knowledge, in your dreams. Your dreams are a personal oracle that reveals the future and helps you prepare for it.
Don’t let anyone tell you what your dreams mean. Get rid of dream dictionaries. Pay attention to signs from the world around you. Know that everything in the universe is interconnected and constantly interweaving.
Use your imagination. What you grow there will be stamped on your world and on your soul — on the energy body in which you’ll travel to another life after death.
Amazingly, these insights come from a fifth-century Greek bishop of Ptolemais, Synesius of Cyrene. His treatise, On Dreams, is one of the wisest books ever written on dreams, coincidence and imagination. He asserted that “dream divination is available to all, the good genius to everyone.”
Synesius was a most unusual bishop, a student and lifelong friend of Hypatia, the great woman philosopher of Alexandria. In his life and work, we find a confluence between the best of the ancient practice of philosophy and the new religion of the Roman empire.
In this module, you’ll:
The sage Vasistha responds to questions from Prince Rama about the meaning of life, and the record becomes a vast Kashmiri Sanskrit text called the Yoga Vasistha. It contains one of the greatest collections of dream reports in world literature, and they are thrilling to hear.
As the sage tells us, in dreaming, we can step in and out of different lives and different worlds. Our dreams change things in the physical world and can even generate worlds. Dreaming is central to spiritual illumination and the key to understanding that the world we inhabit — waking and sleeping — are equally real or illusory.
While dream yoga is often presented as a way to seek moksha and escape the wheel of samsara, Vasistha is very clear that the prince must bring what he learns in dream and meditation to work in the world.
Traditional dream readers in India help dreamers erase harmful past tendencies and find treasure maps, as in the wonderful story “The Sketcher of Pictures,” which Robert retells.
In this module, you’ll:
Harriet Tubman was the most famous conductor of the Underground Railroad, the network that helped escaping slaves from the South travel to safety in the era of the American Civil War. She is credited with helping up to 300 slaves to find freedom.
As a girl she suffered a terrible wound, and afterward was prone to falling into sudden “sleeps” in which she saw the future.
There was a gift in this wound. It enabled her to find safe roads forward when leading fugitives on the run. When staying at the home of a New York minister, Harriet dreamed that President Lincoln freed the slaves three years before he issued the Emancipation Proclamation.
She came down to breakfast in high excitement, singing, “My people are free! My people are free!” Her host, Reverend Henry Garnet, tried to calm her, cautioning her that emancipation would never come in their lifetimes. Harriet trusted her dream: “I tell you sir, you’ll see it, and you’ll see it soon.”
She may have inherited shamanic tracking skills from ancestors in West Africa; there is evidence that both her parents were Ashante. Robert has dreamed of her, including when he lived in a house in Troy, New York, where she once worked as a maid.
In this module, you’ll learn how:
Travel into the fabulous worlds of Joan Grant — a natural seer, socialite in the world of Bertie Wooster, and one of the most popular novelists of her time. Under the veil of fiction, Joan gave us the fruits of her “far memory” of lives lived in different times, most famously in ancient Egypt.
Her novel, Winged Pharaoh, is a manual of dreaming practices taught and mastered in the Temple of Anubis, including remote viewing, telepathy, precognition, and psychopomp work.
Academic Egyptologists may object that much of this is fiction.
The fact is that it works — as you’ll discover in the experiential part of this class, which melds delightful biography (starting with Joan’s conception in the Blue Grotto on the island of Capri) with dream archaeology and the exploration of our relations with past lives and other worlds.
In this module, you’ll explore:
Yeats’ poetry carries us into the dreamworld, to an enchanted hazel wood where a silver trout becomes a girl with apple blossom in her hair, to a lake isle, to the golden birds of Byzantium, and to the lovely and perilous realms of faerie.
Yeats was a magus — an adept of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, familiar with ceremonial magic and also an avid psychical researcher who went to seances and sought to talk to the dead through mediums.
Few know the depth of his practice as a dreamer. Yeats valued dreams that were “granted” more than dreams that were “sought,” and recorded dreams in his notebooks and letters. He also developed practices for dream incubation, lucid dreaming, and “mutual visioning” in which he met others on the astral plane.
Drawing on little-known primary sources and Robert’s lifelong love of Yeats, unpack insights and practices you can follow in your own life, and embark on magical journeys powered by the sonorous verse of the greatest poet of the twentieth century.
In this module, you’ll explore:
Jung labored to bring together the best of Western science and scholarship with ancient ways of soul travel and soul remembering. Throughout his life, he was guided by dreams and synchronicity.
Learn from his practice rather than his theories.
Journey, like Jung, through the many-tiered house of the soul. Walk with the Sacred Guide, as Jung walked with his Philemon. Meet the Shadow. Discover that dreams unlock the limitless field of nonlocal mind he called the “collective unconscious.”
Learn to navigate by synchronicity, and practice field perception as Jung did when he watched the movements of wind and water, and of a fox or a beetle, as he counseled his clients by Lake Zurich.
In this module, you’ll:
The intelligence Jane Roberts called Seth in her Oversoul 7 series is one of the really great dream educators. He is crystal-clear about the important things that go on in dreaming.
Consciousness travels outside the body, every night, in dreams. Dreaming, you travel to other realities, no less real (and maybe more so) than the physical world.
Dreaming, you may choose from an infinity of probable events, which will become physical. You can tune into parallel selves by waking up to what is going on in your dreams.
Great creativity is multidimensional art, in which the creative mind is able to draw on the gifts and energy of many selves. You may be able to borrow strength and skills from parallel selves who made different choices and are walking on other roads in the Many Worlds.
In this module, you’ll learn that:
