New 7-Week Live Video Course Starts

Activate embodied wholeness, awakened presence, and a deeper connection with the Divine to live and die consciously reconciling your infinite and mortal nature, amplifying love and joy in your life, and diffusing heavy emotions and fears that surround physical death.

Imagine how your life could flourish if you were so awake and grounded in the truth of your immortal soul that you no longer feared physical death.

It’s possible to live the potency of this truth when you consciously embody your spiritual and physical nature as one your infinite soul and the mortal part of you that is here for a limited time.

Embodying this wholeness forges a path of healing and peace through the paradoxical experiences of life such as illness, health, grief, joy, pain, and pleasure.

Dale Borglum, Executive Director of the Living/Dying Project, says it’s also key to awakening and fulfilling your spiritual and physical desires…

… as you become adept at tapping into the sustenance and gifts of your innate aliveness from which you are made and which can never die.

You’ll embark on a soulful return to wholeness during Dale’s course, as he takes you on a journey of how to live and die consciously an exploration of enlightening spiritual teachings and practices that will help you ease the fear of death and activate a newfound passion for life.

Having worked with Ram Dass and Stephen Levine to inspire the conscious dying movement in the West, Dale has spent the last 40 years in close contact with people who were approaching death and reaching out for healing healing in relationship to death, illness, a wounded heart, and even separation from their own self.

Joyfully, he watched as so many people awakened to their own wholeness before transitioning from this life.

This catalyzed the revelation that we, too, can experience the clarity and peace that wholeness brings and we needn’t wait until we are on our deathbeds to begin.

You’ll experience how liberating this approach to life and death can be as Dale guides you through meditations to ground and experience your innate aliveness your true identity and source of stability in a world that is constantly changing.

He’ll share how you can genuinely embrace the limited time you have on Earth by dissolving into the moment, rather than fixating on the past…

… drawing from the part of you that will never die to transmute the difficult emotions surrounding death into grace, compassion, and joy for simply being alive here, now.

Dale will be joined by novelist Anne Lamott during the third class, as they explore how to shift from grief to connectedness.

Weekly Sessions Wednesdays at 1:00pm Pacific

This course will feature LIVE teachings, interactive sessions, experiential practices, and Q&A with Dale. Each session will build harmoniously upon the previous ones, so you’ll develop a complete holistic understanding of the practices, tools, and principles you’ll need to activate a new path to wholeness through spiritual wisdom and practices that reconcile your infinite and mortal nature.

Module 1: Activate a New Path to Wholeness & Motivation for Being Truly Alive Through the Wisdom of the Dying (October 4)

There’s much wisdom to distill from those who entered a deep and lucid state of wholeness before they transitioned to the other side especially about healing and the true meaning of life.

You’ll explore this information through Dale’s extensive experience working with people who are in the process of dying…

… and discover the possibilities we have now for realizing wholeness at the edge of life where illness, grief, loss, addiction, and spiritual yearning arise and create a developmental healing path.

You’ll also draw wisdom on how to live and die consciously from the early stages of childhood development, and through the chakras, meditation, devotion, and energy medicine.

This week, you’ll:

  • Explore the possibilities for realizing peace and wholeness in your life as it is right now
  • Cultivate awareness of emotional patterns that cause suffering and how what you trust most factors into this
  • Contemplate truths that can awaken your mind to a deeper understanding of life and death
  • Consider how alive you want to be and what you want to be alive for
  • Discover 4 kinds of laziness to increase your motivation for healing the causes of your suffering
  • Experience a guided meditation to clarify and strengthen your motivation for being alive

Module 2: Invoke Trust & Spiritual Safety to Surrender More Fully to the Moment (October 11)

From the heart, we invoke trust and surrender more fully into the moment. But how can we bring this trust into our bodies?

Grounding and centering are not heavily emphasized in many traditional teachings of spiritual practices, perhaps because life as it was lived centuries ago often supported being naturally grounded and centered…

… and made the great project of identifying with our true natures more accessible with that foundation of embodiment.

Explore practices that instill a deep sense of trust, safety, groundedness, and mindfulness within you as a foundation for bearing the uncertainties of the world and the vulnerability of an open heart.

This week, you’ll discover:

  • The lessons from early childhood development on grounding and centering
  • How to work with the first 3 chakras to expand your sense of trust and safety in the Divine plan
  • How to cultivate the antidotes to fear, guilt, and shame
  • A path to embodiment that will allow you to bear the vulnerability of the open heart and expand your capacity for love
  • Why suffering is a form of grace
  • A guided embodied mindfulness meditation that will develop and strengthen a grounded and centered relationship with our day-to-day experience

Module 3: Cultivate Compassion to Shift From Grief to Connectedness With Guest Speaker Anne Lamott (October 18)

Compassion is in our true nature and is the heart of the spiritual process, according to the great teachings.

But in modern culture, compassion for self is sadly mostly ignored, and compassion for others is often confused with pity.

This week, you’ll cultivate compassion and explore the movement from contraction to spaciousness, from grief to connectedness and the passion that requires.

Dale and Anne will discuss applying compassion in everyday life, particularly when working with people who are dying… and share stories of the three different clients that they have worked with and supported together over the years.

Anne will also share how compassion has grown and deepened in her own life.

Without compassion, contact with suffering will eventually lead to burnout. With compassion, our open heart meets suffering the suffering within us and the suffering that’s around us.

You’ll experience compassion as a mixture of sadness in relation to human suffering and the joy of an open heart, a joy that transcends happiness and sadness.

You’ll discover:

  • A deeper definition of compassion and how to cultivate compassion and its benefits of connectedness, spaciousness, and warmth
  • The true relationship between compassion and grief
  • Why compassion is so often misunderstood
  • Why appropriate boundaries are necessary for true compassion
  • How compassion prevents burnout
  • A guided meditation on compassion that reveals the possibility of a heart that is connected, spacious, and warm when in the presence of suffering

Module 4: Learn to Fully Embrace All of Life Through an Empowered, Radically Awake & Open Heart (October 25)

Our open hearts reveal the sacred nature of all things, including ourselves. With an open heart, we become empowered, and all experience even difficult emotions can be perceived as awakened energy.

Explore this radical approach to enlightenment, transforming difficulties into wisdom that can free you. Experience how confusion dissolves as you directly see that everything is already awake and that each emotion has a healing message.

As you begin to embody this truth, spiritual practice and life itself are no longer a struggle to improve yourself, but become an almost effortless surrender into who you’ve always been.

Rather than approaching life from a sense of poverty and need, you can devour it with a sense of romance and abundance for The Beloved is everyone and everything.

This week, you’ll:

  • Learn why you are perfect and why there is still room for improvement
  • Discover how, in loving someone so much, you’re also loving the entire world
  • Explore how there is only one consciousness that flows through us and creates reality
  • Gain a deeper understanding of how the Divine Mother perceives the “good” and “bad” things that happen
  • Explore the alchemy that exists in tantra as both empowerment and the power
  • Be guided in a tantra meditation to reveal the sacred nature of all experience, beyond concepts of pure and impure

Module 5: Actualize a Deeper Sense of Wholeness to Dissolve the Fear of Death & Rest in Your Eternal Essence (November 1)

We die into wholeness into a realization of our true nature both when we physically die, and also as we allow ourselves to be fully present, here and now.

How comfortable we are surrendering into wholeness while we are alive determines whether or not dying will be another moment of this surrender. How frightening we find this surrender into wholeness determines whether or not dying feels like it comes too soon and feels too difficult to face.

Explore simple, direct practices this week that show you how to realize this wholeness in this moment. Learn to rest in spaciousness that doesn’t get distracted by pleasant or unpleasant projections…

… and how to surrender basic aggression, give up fear, and rest in the essence of who you are, dissolving into the present moment-to-moment.

This week, you’ll:

  • Learn to rest in nonduality as the best preparation for a conscious death
  • Discover that what you are looking for is who is looking realizing the goal is not something external, but pure awareness itself
  • Explore how all experience is a manifestation of the one source
  • Examine why even suffering is grace since it perfectly reveals what you need to learn to accept and love
  • Be guided in a nondual meditation to help experience wholeness directly

Module 6: Approach Conscious Caregiving as Compassion in Action & Spiritual Practice for Self & Others (November 8)

We don’t have to be Mother Teresa to find joy in working with suffering.

There is a joy beyond happiness and sadness, wellness and illness, even life and death.

Explore practices and attitudes that transform caregiving into compassion in action for those who are ill, want to prevent burnout, wish to take better care of themselves and those they love, and transform caregiving into the joy of selfless service.

This week, you’ll:

  • Learn why conscious caregiving is fundamentally working on yourself and is also meditation in action
  • Explore why conscious caregiving includes compassion for yourself
  • Discover why conscious caregiving includes receiving as well as giving
  • Learn practices to honor the human and the divine the finite and infinite at the same time
  • Experience a dyad exercise demonstrating conscious caregiving applying embodied mindfulness and compassion to an encounter with a partner who is telling you about a place in their life that feels out of balance

Module 7: Merge Your Mind with the One Mind to Transmute the Fear of Death & Accept the Loss of Control (November 15)

What is it that dies and what is it that does not die? What happens when you die? How can the certainty of death yet the uncertainty of the time of our death lead to awakening rather than to fear?

Until we come into intimate contact with death, all of our spiritual practices tend to be superficial.

Dale will share contemplative and experiential practices to help you transmute the fear of death and accept loss of control. Learn to merge your mind with the one mind and then merge with the mind of the one who is dying.

Practices will be presented that prepare both someone who is about to die and someone supporting another who has just died

This week, you’ll:

  • Discover the spiritual opportunity for profound awakening in the time immediately following physical death
  • Learn why all fear is fear of death, since fear is based on the delusion that we are only the separate self which dies
  • Explore why not knowing who you are creates the fear of death
  • Practice dying into this moment as an opportunity to let go into the spacious nature of reality
  • Receive practices to prepare for a conscious death, including the AH breath and Phowa

Carly McLane: “There Is So Much Depth and Opportunity for Contemplation, Introspection, and Compassionate Growth”

“When we first connected at that retreat, I had no idea what a powerful impact you would have on my life.”

I’m at episode #38 of a re-listening marathon of all your podcasts, over half-way, lol. I’ve been doing this to strengthen and deepen my understanding of your Healing Paradigm and the connection of our work together. It’s been amazing how this intensive has tied together the material with such a fresh and invigorating perspective. I must let you know that I am so very grateful to be working with you. I hope you are able to feel the sincerity in those words and the respect and love I have for you as both a friend and teacher. When we first connected at that retreat, I had no idea what a powerful impact you would have on my life.

“Dale’s group is a blessing, a mystery, and a miracle.”

Charles H., group member

“I find myself more patient, more present, more loving, and more compassionate after discovering your teachings.”

I wanted to thank you again for the live session today and also all of the offerings you provide to the world. It’s difficult to express all of my gratitude, as your teachings have greatly changed my life. I find myself more patient, more present, more loving, and more compassionate after discovering your teachings. I have spent the last decade in deep spiritual practice and I feel like I have experienced the most beautiful and drastic changes in the last few months since your wisdom has entered my life. All of this to say, thank you! And I am grateful to have you as a teacher and a guide through this life.
Kevin O., group member

“Thank you for your beautiful ‘presence,’ and for sharing some of your incredible personal journey with us.”

Thank you so much for such an extraordinary, meaningful and inspiring Saturday and Sunday. It was a transformative experience for me. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself, for your authenticity and for “being” the “compassion” that you talked about. Thank you for your beautiful “presence,” and for sharing some of your incredible personal journey with us. It was a marathon weekend, and yet you responded to each question with clarity, compassion, intelligence, and kindness.
Shelley N., workshop participant

“Thank you so much for your support.”

Thank you so much for your support. I may have a year left, unless the miracle occurs that makes the tests all a mistake. But how often does that really happen? I do understand why you work with the dying. I have found much clarity in being around people who are dying, as if an entire lifetime comes into the sharpest focus and all the years condense into one pure moment. I still have much grief to work through however, before I am able to see my own life the same. For all its pain and tragedy, I have loved living. I feel as if life were breaking up with me, ending a relationship that I believed had really just begun. All that is left is for her to ask for the ring back to make it official. Breaking up is always so hard to do. It helps to have those who understand the journey to sit next to you and share the range of emotions. Thank you, again, my friend.

“Thank you, Dale, for bringing people together to deepen spiritual lives and remind us of who we are.”

After I’d had the opportunity to tell some of the story of my mom’s transition and I was sitting quietly listening to the sharing of our group, I was filled with gratitude, appreciation, and love for all of you and profound gratitude that I found you all. Thank you, Dale, for bringing people together to deepen spiritual lives and remind us of who we are. The gift of your service helped me to hold my mom’s decline and transition with a tenderness, devotion, and sacredness of love that I didn’t know was within me.
Barbara M., group member

“I felt like I was right where I was supposed to be.”

I want to thank you from the very depths of my being, Dale. I had to be rushed to the hospital just four days ago due to complications from a surgery and I had to confront and make peace with my death more fully than I ever have in the five hours leading up to another emergency surgery. Though I still felt fear, it didn’t overtake me and I felt divinely guided, having just recently taken your course. I had my partner lead me through the “AH” breathing practice and other practices that you shared. [It] helped keep me conscious and present in my body through the experience. I felt like I was right where I was supposed to be.
