Discover how to rewire your mind-body response to address even your most persistent pain through a deep understanding of where pain comes from.

Learn about a diverse toolkit of mindfulness techniques, gentle movement exercises, and stress-reduction strategies for daily use to help ease your pain and enhance your overall wellbeing.

What is pain? How does your nervous system actually work?

And is it possible to change your pain experience and finally get some relief?

Pain is strange, says pioneering craniosacral bodyworker and teacher Steve Haines. It goes far beyond a physical problem, or as Steve says, “issues in the tissues.”

Instead, pain is the protective reflex your body uses to shield you from perceived danger. Studies show that understanding how pain is created and maintained by the nervous system can significantly lessen the pain you experience and lead to effective strategies to ultimately help you overcome it.

When your brain realizes you’re safe as you transform old traumas through a variety of mind-body practices, your pain naturally diminishes.

As Steve teaches his students and patients around the world, chronic pain has no discernable purpose. It’s like a bad habit and habits can be broken! Would you like to learn how?

Join Steve for an hour-long event as he shares how you can effectively address your persistent pain through a combination of mindfulness techniques, somatic movement exercises, and stress-reduction practices.

He’ll share a key new skill you’ll need on the journey to lessen your pain the ability to mindfully pay attention to what you’re feeling.

During his guided meditation, Steve will help you notice the sensations in your body from a safe space. You’ll zero in on where you feel it, how you feel it, and other details about how it hurts. You’ll explore the sensation itself and your true feelings about it.

During the event, Steve will also explain how the science of pain has changed considerably in the last two decades, and share good news about how you can transform it.

When Steve was receiving his chiropractic training years ago, he found that the purely structural models of pain he’d learned about limited how much he was able to help his patients.

With a background in yoga, shiatsu, and biodynamic craniosacral therapy states, Steve developed and refined his trailblazing approach to understanding pain that’s already helped thousands around the world.

Steve’s rich scientific work helps disassemble, piece by piece, the way we’ve come to think about pain as a culture. As you’ll discover, he never leaves you wondering what to do next, but instead offers practical mind-body tools you can use to rewire your mind-body response to pain.

Steve will explain how you can map your body to resolve fear of movement, and ultimately find your way out of pain as you come to understand why you experience pain, so you can unlearn it.

Whether you’re suffering from chronic pain, or you’re a teacher or practitioner who wants to better understand pain in the context of your work, you won’t want to miss this compelling and deeply healing event.

In this hour-long free online event, you’ll explore:

  • A guided meditation during which you’ll observe the sensations in your body from a secure space, pinpointing where and how you feel your pain and acknowledging it as a complex mind-spirit issue rather than a physical occurrence
  • Key insights from modern science that can help you address even your most persistent pain
  • Proven skills for mindfully paying attention to your pain so you can better understand it, and ultimately transform it
  • The science of cultivating a pain-free mindset how to retell the story of your past experiences and current perspectives to help you ease your pain
  • The power of movement in understanding pain including how you can use gentle movement and self-touch exercises to help you feel more connected to yourself as you become more optimistic about movement
