Discover soul-honoring rituals, the historical context of death and dying, and the powerful role of the death doula in transforming life’s final transition from a purely medical event into a profound rite of passage back into spirit.

There was a time when death was not feared but revered as a sacred rite of passage that celebrated our time on Earth, while commencing the next phase of the soul’s journey beyond it...

The eventual fear of death, denial, and collective amnesia regarding its true purpose as a doorway to the next journey of the soul has injected this sacred moment with deep suffering, isolation, anxiety, and instability.

But as hospice and oncology nurse Suzanne O’Brien teaches, we can reclaim the sacredness of death and bring clarity to the dying process and its forgotten blessings.

And, we can do it now in preparation for the last great transition we’ll ever make as human beings.

Suzanne, who was named a "Worldwide Leader In Healthcare" in 2016 by The International Nurses Association for her humanitarian work, teaches that death is not a medical experience it’s a human one.

All living beings must travel through the stages of death and dying as part of our ongoing evolution... and much of it is quite miraculous and beautiful once you know what to look for.

As a death doula and the founder of Doulagivers Institute, Suzanne has helped more than 350,000 people learn how to navigate this liminal time with greater awareness, acceptance, peace, strength, joy, and gratitude for a life well-lived.

During her event, you’ll explore how becoming more informed about the process of death and dying can help you find your way back to its sacred purpose as you learn to embrace impermanence without fear as the natural, sacred, and profound experience it was meant to be.

Suzanne will guide you in a deathbed reflection practice that allows what your soul really wants and values to rise into your awareness inspiring new focus and momentum toward the fulfillment of your deepest desires.

Even if you’re not faced with the challenge of caring for someone who is terminal or dying right now, join us to gain valuable nuggets of wisdom on how embracing physical impermanence as a sacred rite of passage can help you live more fully, freely, and purposefully now...

... as you unveil its hidden blessings through a greater understanding of the final steps we all must take.

As Suzanne says, “ We will all be called to care for someone we love at the end of life knowing how to do that changes everything.”

In this deeply reflective online event, you’ll:

  • Explore the historical context of death and dying to initiate a greater understanding of why we collectively fear physical death and activate deep remembrance of death not simply as a medical experience but as a natural, sacred human experience
  • Be guided in a deathbed reflection exercise to ground in and clarify what your soul values reducing the fear of death, healing grief, and inspiring you to truly live now
  • Discover how modern society’s fear and denial of death contributes to an overall sense of disconnection and perpetuates suffering
  • Learn practical steps for reducing the fear of dying by acknowledging and discussing death openly and learning the truth about the phases of death and dying
  • Consider common phenomena at the end of life such as the surge of energy, deathbed visitations, and choosing the time one dies to understand the sacred transitional process that is taking place
  • Hear the sacred wisdom that dying patients want you to know and how this can support you to live fully

In joining us for Suzanne’s free online event, you’ll also be among the first to learn about her new 7-week live video course on navigating the death and dying process with awareness, skill, and compassion.

About Suzanne B. O'Brien, RN

EDIT

Suzanne B. O’Brien, RN, is a speaker, bestselling author, elder advocate, and wellness warrior. Suzanne, who spent most of her nursing career in hospice care and oncology care, was struck by this intense area of healthcare and the many gaps in education and support for both the patient and the loved ones. In 2008, Suzanne began offering free community educational seminars at her local library to teach families how to care for their loved ones at the end of life.

The ultimate concept of hospice care is that the nurse manages the care of the dying patient and teaches the family how to do the same. This concept is unfortunately far from successful due to the overwhelming fear of death (the number one fear in the U.S.) and the late period of time that people actually receive hospice services.

Seeing this systemic break and the compounded amount of suffering it causes has fueled Suzanne’s passion to help teach families the life-changing skill of how to care for their loved ones before they actually need it. This training and concept proved so successful that Suzanne now travels to communities, offering free trainings in person and on live webinars so that people around the world can attend.

Suzanne was named a "Worldwide Leader In Healthcare" in 2016 by The International Nurses Association for her humanitarian work.
