Have you sensed that there’s a wisdom inside you that’s been drowned out by the noise of the world or distorted by past trauma?
Perhaps your body has been trying to speak to you for years — through tension, fatigue, anxiety, or illness — but no one ever taught you how to truly listen to it.
In a world that often treats the body as a machine, there is a profound path back to your biological and spiritual wholeness, affirms Donnalea Van Vleet Goelz, the executive director of Continuum Movement®. After all, wholeness is a word that shares its root with “health” — and it’s something you can feel, cultivate, and come home to in your own body.
With a PhD in Somatic Psychology, and a rare ability to bridge science and spirituality, Donnalea brings a depth of presence that transforms every room she enters.
Continuum Movement can perhaps best be described as an extraordinary awakening to the fullness of what it means to be alive. It’s designed to free you from cultural and mechanistic constraints of modern society. Continuum is more than classes; it's a way of being.
Movement is the message and the way.
In this free online event, Donnalea will share why Continuum’s somatic process has five elemental gateways: breath, sound, movement, sensation, and innovation. When combined, these elements help regulate your nervous system, deepen interoception (your ability to sense what’s happening inside your body), and create the safety required for healing to occur.
This integrated experience supports the natural release of oxytocin, the bonding hormone — sometimes referred to as the “love hormone” —known to reduce stress, lower inflammation, and open the door to emotional and physical wellbeing.
Healing doesn’t come from the outside, says Donnalea, a leading voice in the field of somatic psychology who’s been teaching and conducting research for more than 30 years, and has earned an impressive array of certifications in diverse movement and energy-based practices.
Instead, real healing begins with interoception — the ability to feel and track the internal landscape of your body. It’s what allows you to sense when something’s off… or when something’s deeply right.
This innate capacity connects you to your body’s wisdom — empowering you to gently dissolve the patterns that keep you in pain, stuck in survival mode, or fragmented by trauma.
Through Continuum Movement, Donnalea guides you to cultivate this deep listening. Using breath, sound, and fluid movement, the practice awakens interoceptive awareness and supports nervous system regulation and profound healing from within.
Join Donnalea in this life-enriching hour to explore the foundational practice of “taking a baseline” — a deceptively simple but profoundly revealing method for tuning in to your inner world and supporting self-healing.
You’ll learn two of the core Continuum breaths and begin to sense how your breath can alter your internal state. You’ll be guided through somatic fluid movement referred to as a “dive,” an experiential self-discovery process — a “dive” into your inner waters, where you’ll begin to feel, perhaps for the first time in a long time, what it’s like to be in deep relationship with your body.
This gentle, powerful practice helps you return to your own inner knowing by using sound, breath, and subtle movement to connect with the sensations within your body. It’s a practice of remembering: that you are a fluid being, that your body is not mechanical, and that you hold within you the capacity to heal.
You’ll leave with tools that can help you regulate your emotions and nervous system, a sense of inner calm, and a new understanding of how fluid your body truly is.
But more than that, you’ll leave with a felt experience of wholeness — and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing the teacher you’ve been looking for is already within you.
