Discover why gongs can evoke the sublime state of awe  and experience for yourself through a guided meditation how gong baths can cultivate greater peace, presence, compassion, and a deeper sense of connection.

Has the sound of a gong ever shifted you in some mysterious way?

Maybe you connected with a profound sense of peace, expanded awareness, and connection that seems to linger long after the note has faded.

According to internationally recognized gong teacher Martha Collard, that may be because gongs can evoke what researchers, psychologists, and mystics alike call the state of awe a profound shift in awareness that can render us speechless, quiet the thinking mind, open the heart, and leave us feeling like we belong to something much larger than ourselves.

It's a state that can awaken wonder, compassion, generosity, and inner stillness precisely because it moves beyond our ordinary ways of experiencing the world.

Join Martha, a true Gong Master, for an illuminating free online event, where she’ll guide you through a loving-kindness meditation, accompanied by the resonant sounds of the gong.

As she plays, you’ll likely notice some tangible shifts such as slower breathing and a quieter mind. But you may also tap into the subtler qualities of openness, presence, reverence, and interconnectedness which can be so difficult to describe, yet so meaningful to experience.

It will be a beautiful experience, but what if it was a state you could intentionally cultivate, understand more deeply, and even share with others?

Martha will share why gongs hold remarkable potential for both your personal wellbeing and the future of sound and also why the profound effects of gong meditation have remained surprisingly difficult for science to measure, despite the life-changing experiences so many people report.

You’ll learn how this luminous state of awe may be one of the most overlooked benefits of gong baths... and why being able to capture and intentionally measure that feeling through what Martha calls “citizen science” could transform not only the way we experience gongs but also our understanding of the profound effects of bathing in their resonance helping bridge centuries of lived experience with modern inquiry.

Whether you’re a sound enthusiast curious about the remarkable effects of the gong, a gong practitioner hoping to deepen your understanding, or simply someone longing for greater peace in a stressful world…

… you’ll come away with a richer appreciation for one of humanity’s most profound states of consciousness... and how playing gongs to cultivate awe may enrich both your own life and the lives of those around you.

In this inspiring hour, you’ll:

  • Experience a powerful gong meditation designed to evoke the remarkable state of awe leaving you feeling calmer, more peaceful, and uplifted
  • Discover what researchers mean by the state of awe and why it may be one of the most powerful yet overlooked contributors to resilience, wellbeing, and human flourishing
  • Learn why gong baths appear to be uniquely capable of creating profound states of calm, oneness, and expanded awareness that often continue unfolding long after the experience has ended
  • Explore why scientific research has struggled to measure the effects of gongs, despite centuries of lived experience and its growing popularity around the world
  • Discover how practitioners and enthusiasts can help build the future of gong research through an innovative citizen-science project that brings greater credibility to this beautiful practice

When you attend, you’ll also be among the first to hear about Martha’s groundbreaking 7-week live video course, where you’ll participate in one of the first large-scale citizen science initiatives exploring gong meditation and experience a standardized seven-week gong protocol

You’ll learn practical research methods you can bring back to your own community and help build a growing body of evidence that supports the future of gong practice, while deepening your own experience of its extraordinary power.

What People Are Saying About Martha Collard...

“... mind-blowingly unbelievable.”
Martha’s musicianship, sensitivity, and hospitality are world class. It’s been a over a week since I had the opportunity to experience a gong bath with her, and the response I posted on social media that evening says it all: I have experienced sound baths. I have given sound baths. I have a deep appreciation for what sound can do to the mind, body, and soul. But I just got out of a gong bath by Martha Collard (of Red Doors Studio) that was mind-blowingly unbelievable.’

“I cannot thank you enough for sharing your exceptional, unique, and powerful expertise and gifts.”
Not a day goes by, Martha, without me hearing from someone who attended the Global Wellness Summit in Singapore that your gong baths and main stage performance changed their lives. I think it's fair to say you were the talk of the summit, and that’s quite something. It’s particularly noteworthy because our audience, as you know, is invitation-only, C-suite executives, mostly running multinational corporations. For them not just to experience what you offered, but to be so moved by it, is a testament to the power of what you do. I was also personally moved by your work, and if it were possible, I’d make sure you were present at every future summit. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your exceptional, unique, and powerful expertise and gifts. It was a remarkable, memorable experience.

“... this class invited me to investigate the deep vibration of sound on my soul...”
Martha, this class invited me to investigate the deep vibration of sound on my soul, and the peace that ensues. I recently retired from a business — but not from life! I can’t wait to learn more and get started with my first gong. It’s very appealing in that being a musician is not required for success. Who knows where this will lead, but I feel it opening the way as I move forward in life.

“Martha's knowledge, enthusiasm, patience, and preparation all came through.”
Fabulous course. Beyond expectations. Martha’s knowledge, enthusiasm, patience, and preparation all came through. I absorbed a lot during this class. I now understand the art and science behind the gong. I seek to play a gong musically, and for healing. Using Martha’s techniques and the homework introduced in this class, I found how soothing and enlightening the gong can be.

“Martha's goal of creating a gong community is what I was missing!”
I’ve owned a Jupiter Paiste gong since 2000 and traveled with it to sacred sites, performed as part of full moon and other rituals, done home cleansing, etc. As a Reiki master, I’ve always felt powerful shifts each time. It’s been silent for about six years, and it's now time to bring its voice back to life. Martha’s goal of creating a gong community is what I was missing!

Martha Collard is the visionary founder of Red Doors Studio, the first center in Asia dedicated to meditation gongs as well as other complementary ancient practices for emotional wellbeing.

Her focus is on labyrinths, gong meditation, and Kundalini yoga, which have given her balance, strength, and understanding.

Red Doors Studio is the platform through which she makes ancient intuitive practices relevant and accessible. She works with Maggie’s Cancer Support Centre, Cancerlink, special needs families, and a number of schools.

She leads sessions, teaches and performs regularly in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, New York, and Ottawa. She was a guest speaker at the World Coaching Congress in Mumbai, presented at TEDx in Hong Kong, and was a keynote speaker at the Global Wellness Summit in Singapore.
