I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Penelope for over 20 years as a trusted retreat leader here at Earthfire Institute, and a consultant for advice on the rescued wild animals under my care. She is always prompt and caring in her responses to various problems and emergencies. Her insights are remarkable. But more than, that I deeply respect her integrity and the personal work she has done to separate personal human issues from the messages she receives. It is because of that, that I turn to her for information and advice. Not to mention her courage. Her input has dovetailed remarkably with input from our vets giving us a more complete picture than we could have gotten from medical advice alone and helped us make better decisions for the animal in question. We have had some truly remarkable results, in particular with a semi-paralyzed grizzly bear who is no longer paralyzed because of her long-distance healing with him. I also respect the care with which she has nurtured the next generation of animal communicators and her efforts to maintain quality as the field develops. Our Earth and living beings that inhabit her are richer because she is among us.

We are all blessed by your work, Penelope, and your role as our pioneering leader. Without your forging the path so long ago — and continuing it for all these years — we who have followed in your footsteps would have to work 10 times harder to build credibility and trust and learn on our own. St. Francis is an important guide in spirit for my work, but you are the main being who made this work possible for us all on the Earth plane at this time. This is a powerful gift you have given the animals, their people, and all of us who now walk in your initial footsteps. 

You helped build the foundation on which I now stand and so many future generations of animal communicators will be sent skyward on the wings. You are a gift from God to this planet! You were channeling Divine Mother healing magic long before the rest of us and daring to face controversy your entire life in order to manifest more truth and tenderness in this world. You’ve made an enormus difference on this planet, Penelope, and I just want to thank you from every little whiskered angel whose life you touched.

Penelope, you were walking the path of Oneness long before it became a buzzword. Thank you for laying the groundwork throughout your life and showing others what is possible. You opened the doors and gave others, like me, the confidence to trust, walk through, and keep sharing these incredible awakenings with others.

Penelope Smith is the grandmother of animal communication. Long before it was in vogue to be an animal communicator, Penelope was courageous enough to let the world know that, “Yes, animals do speak!” What is most precious about Penelope’s work is that she is the practice of compassion for all beings. Penelope is gifted with a very big soul ability to accept all beings in love. She is able to come from a place of zero agenda and just get who animals and people are. Instead of fixing, she is listening. Instead of debating, she perceives. She is able to master the skill of witnessing as animals do.
