(Catalyst #11] Peace is in the air from Iraq to the Supreme Court

What a blessing to have launched the Summer of Peace 2013! In this issue, we'll begin our coverage of inspiring peace building activities from around the world over the next 3 months as we build momentum towards the International Day of Peace on Sept. 21st.

We launched the Summer beautifully with Rev. Elouise Oliver in Oakland and James O'Dea and many passionate peacebuilders. After Chief Phil Lane's mini-summit last week on the Reunion of Condor and Eagle (still available for free here) it's clear that the prophecies of this time around the reunification of tribal peoples are also well underway.

Let's add to the momentum by helping to create a Dept. of Peacebuilding (this issue's action), celebrating our gay brothers and sisters (my article) and sharing inspiring videos such as the Global Unity video from Iraq.
Music Video for Global Unity Filmed in Iraq
Acclaimed singer and activist Stephan Said has made a music video in Iraq for global unity. Filmed with an all-Iraqi crew over the 10th anniversary of the war, the video is an uplifting call for unity across the world and within Iraq. Stephen Said was interviewed during Summer of Peace, listen free.

The Founder of Damanhur Passes

One of the most extraordinary experiments in intentional community in the world, Damanhur, grieved the passing of its founder Falco recently. An article on him is here.

Hereditary Chief Phil Lane, Jr. (Brother Phil)

The first thing that stood out when beginning to work with Chief Phil was how he signed his e-mails: "With warm love and greeting." As we proceeded to work together, I realized his words of love permeated all aspects of his approach to relationships and service.
