The Shift Network, Inc. aims to empower a global movement of people who are creating an evolutionary shift of consciousness that in turn leads to a more enlightened society, one built on principles of sustainability, peace, health, and prosperity. Stephen Dinan is the CEO of The Shift Network and a member of the prestigious Transformational Leadership Council and Evolutionary Leaders groups. As the former Director of Membership and Marketing at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, he was the driving force behind the Shift in Action program, which grew to 10,000 paying members, and the One Minute Shift video series, which was seen by more than one million. He is also the author of Radical Spirit (New World Library), and a forthcoming book Sacred America. Stephen directed and helped to create the Esalen Institute’s Center for Theory & Research, a think tank for leading scholars, researchers, and teachers to explore human potential frontiers.

Rev. Devaa Haley Mitchell hosts Shift Network’s Inspiring Women Summit, facilitates our women’s programs, and designs facilitation and transformation strategies for many of our programs. Devaa’s background includes roles in the public benefit sector (Director at Institute of Noetic Sciences and Exec. Director of Full Circle Fund), as well as the business sector (Boston Consulting Group). Devaa was ordained as an interfaith minister by the Chaplaincy Institute and received a BA and an MA from Stanford University. She was also awarded a fellowship from the Fulbright Foundation.

Craig Kugel - CFO/Accounting. Craig has extensive startup experience and an MBA. His former positions include Financial Officer of Airstream Consulting, and Director of Finance for MH Energy. Craig is also a Board member of Spiritual Cinema Circle.

Emily Hine - Chief of Peace. Emily most recently served on the launch team of social enterprise Ideal Network and brings over 20 years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy and public relations. During her career, she has helped raise $150 million for nonprofit organizations across the U.S. Emily has spent a third of her career in the nonprofit sector, a third in the for-profit technology sector (Microsoft) and a third serving as a bridge between the two sectors. She previously was on the executive team for Seeds of Compassion, a global event with the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu that launched a worldwide compassion movement.

Alison Weeks VP of Education, is a seasoned leader, manager, and educational program designer. With nearly 30 years experience, Alison has been at the forefront of many creative educational initiatives in K-12 and higher education, business, and the non-profit sector. As co-founder of Presidio School of Management and initial designer of the MBA in Sustainable Management, Alison brought her passion of bridging disparate worlds to bear on the emerging field of sustainable business, helping to create a strong voice in making "green" mainstream. Alison loves dance, yoga, and after working in Japan for nearly a decade, a good cup of green tea.

Lion Goodman is Director of Men’s Programs for The Shift Network. He brings more than 30 years experience in entrepreneurial business management, spiritual practice, transformational coaching and men’s work. Lion is a dynamic coach, widely published author, workshop leader, public speaker and successful businessman. He is co-founder of The Tribe of Men, an initiatory program for men in Northern California, and creator of The BeliefCloset Process, a methodology for permanently transforming beliefs at the core of the psyche. In 1984, he founded The Goodman Group, an executive search firm that recruited and coached senior executives for high-tech companies.

Rebecca Bell Massoud is the Director of Marketing and comes to The Shift Network with more than 20 years experience in marketing, communications, branding and public relations. Most recently, she was Director of Marketing at Presidio Graduate School and a founding team member of their Sustainable MBA program. In addition to higher education, Rebecca has experience in the corporate world (Autodesk, 7-Eleven), with nonprofits (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) and with myriad entrepreneurial ventures (the least notable being that she once sold kitchen knives for a day).

Philip M. Hellmich - Director of Peace. Philip brings more than 25 years of experience in international development and conflict transformation including 14 years with Search for Common Ground. He also served for four years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone where he lived and worked in small remote bush villages. A published writer, Philip is author of a forthcoming book God and Conflict: A Search for Peace in a Time of Crisis. He serves as adviser to The Global Peace Initiative of Women. A long-time meditation practitioner, Philip enjoys studying and teaching about the parallels between inner and outer peacebuilding.

Jane Elin - Manager of Peace, is a seasoned educator with a M.Ed., strategic planner and administrator, bringing over 30 years of diverse experience to The Shift Network. Jane recently worked at UC Berkeley as Senior Administrative Analyst, providing project management and research for academic and capital project initiatives, as well as event planning for college relations. She has specialized for many years in disability services, working with the Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program and in performing arts education. She is author of the college textbook, “Re-envisioning Dance: perceiving the aesthetics of disability.” Jane is a long-time and heartfelt professional, classical dancer.

Michael Barrette - brings more than 10 years in web development and entrepreneurial success to The Shift Network. In 2004 he co-founded Shopster.com, an innovative, networked E-Commerce solution used by tens of thousands around the world. He has a business degree and currently is focused on creating networked internet solutions that empower grassroots change for the people and by the people as together we co-create a new Earth.

Jeffrey Kihn - Production Manager. Jeffrey played a key role in launching the Shift in Action program at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, which grew to 10,000 members, and now manages many operations for the Shift Network. He holds a BA in cognitive science from the University of California at Berkeley, and in his spare time composes ambient music.

Michael DuBois - Web Developer of over 10 years experience. Specializing in Drupal development, Michael has created and maintains a large variety of dynamic, community and media driven websites.

Ben Hart - Online Course Manager. Ben has worked in personal development contexts since receiving his BA from Wesleyan University. From rites of passage work with teens through the Omega Institute, facilitating leadership workshops and one-on-one coaching with college students, and organizing an international leadership conference for young adults, his passion for optimal living and human potential has been paramount.
